How can they possibly wrap this up in one issue?

It's such blatant misdirection it's not even funny. There is just no way that that individual is guilty.

Loved the exchange between Flash and Green Arrow, however.

I would say things are SPINNING out of control, but that wouldn't be subtle, now, would it?

The footprints were a really ingenious little touch, but it could still be a Red Herring. I still maintain it's the guy seen in only one panel this issue, sobbing his eyes out.

Bottom line, once we figure out the entire scope of the mind-wiping incidents (they even did it to friggin' BATMAN?)our killer / mastermind will be known. This has been so great to follow for the past few months.

Oh, and being a mostly Marvel guy, I'm proud to admit that just today I finally figured out that Zatanna's magic spells were merely commands spelled backwards. Yes, you can still learn things at 28!

Also, the cameo appearances by Dr. Moon and Phobia (mind control villains) loom like a shoe waiting to be dropped.

The only thing missing in the last panel was a snidley whiplash like "MWAH HA HA HA!"

Could someone point me in the direction of a detailed recap of this issue?

I think it makes sense its him. It has been hinted since issue #1 it would take someone that new the insides outs of Sue's Apartment. It also makes sense in issue #3 for his actions to misdirect the JLA. I am hoping its him, because he is a one dimisional character and something like this could really be the key. Good issue, espically clearing up the Batman mistake.

The minor points:

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
* Jack Drake and Captain Boomerang are both dead when Batman and Robin arrive.
* Dr. Light is plotting again, no specifics.
* Boomerang Jr. suits up in his dad's uniform for the first time.
* Long sequence with heroes interacting with and thinking about their families.
* The Calculator admits passing the job of killing Jack Drake on to Boomerang, but denies having anything to do with warning and arming Drake. "Getting villains killed isn't good for business."

The MAJOR points:

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
* Light's flashback was accurate -- Batman WAS there. He left, came _back_ just as Zatanna was finishing up on Dr. Light's mind, went bananas over the concept... and was HIMSELF mindwiped, this time by a unanimous vote, wiping out ten minutes or so from his memory. Nobody's told him since.
* The autopsy is (finally) complete, and the cause of death has been revealed -- an obstruction in Sue's brain, complete with _little footprints_ on the inside of a major blood vessel. Someone had been STANDING there and caused a stroke that took her down for the count, THEN she was burned.
* As both Batman and the autopsy crew try to find Ray Palmer (the Atom) for obvious reasons, he's settling into bed with Jean Loring with an altogether twisted look on his face.

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
* Both the Atom and Jean Loring have been popular picks for Sue's killer. This issue does nothing to eliminate either. Of course, there are always the possibilities of body-swapping, possession, mind control, etc. to contend with, and there's time for at least one more twist in IC #7.
* The Atom has a SPARE size-controlling belt, though this hasn't been directly addressed in IC yet.
* There's a villain who's a long-time Atom foe, who's gotten his share of on-panel time, who's in contact with the Calculator and associated villains, who has a Suicide Squad connection, whose abilities allow him far more access to information than most, and who's convinced that the villains will win in the end. Tick tock...

It's gonna be awhile before I get to read the issue, so MAD PROPS to you, vsp, for those bits of information.

It seems to obvious to be the gentlemen whom Batman is now trying to find may be the one responsible....or is it? I'll withhold any speculation until I read the issue.

Gonna be sad to see this series come to an end. But then again, Rebirth is still going on =)

Hard to determine who gets the icon this week, but I give it to Marvel, as they blew off one of their big storylines with: DARK AVENGERS/UNCANNY X-MEN: EXODUS #1: This issue wasn't short on action.
