So, JR's report is the usual bit of nothing and accidental funny (remember what he said about Christian when you see Heat, okay?) but then at the end, he drops some names for an upcoming WWF Training camp and I got not idea who half these people are - do you?

>Josh Wilcox

Okay, he's the former NFL player (Saint) who showed up in ECW a couple times, then did the XFL, then went UPW and he's been around one of the developmental places or has a contract or something...

>Rene Dupre,

No clue.

>Jason Sugarman,

Here either.

>Race Steele,

Shown up on Jakked quite a five times since I've started - one time three weeks straight - lots of tatoos on his back, don't know where he actually works.

>Kevin Fertig (Seven),

Memphis dude - was in the old WWF Memphis developmental terrorty and is probably involved with whatever filled the void.

>Travis Tomko,

?

>Matt Morgan,

Mike's brother? Maybe not.

>AJ Styles,

Short time WCW guy (actually was on semi-regular on Worldwide for a long time before he showed up on the main roster) and works NWA Wildside, had a end-WCW-esque match vs Hurricane on Jakked a couple weeks ago that impressed some people...

>Lex Lovett,

I've sworn I've heard his name in NWA Flordia, but don't know much.

>Eddie Craven,

Did the Savio Vega kick on Jakked a couple weeks ago.

>Jorge Estrada

Puerto Rico?

>Sonny Siaki

Was in the same Power Plant training group that brought you the Thrillers, et al., but somehow the Samoan guy didn't make the cut and the white guys did, HMMMMMMM. CRZ thought he was the next Rock. Not to be confused with Kid Romeo.

>Matt Stryker,

Name seems familiar.

>Chad Collyer,

Dean Malenko-alike (even going as far as using that as his gimmick), does quite a bit of work around the country (I've seen his name pop up in a lot of different places), had some good matches on Jakked. DVDVR boys like him, I think.

>Kim Neilson

No idea.

>and Erin Bray.

And again.

Rene Dupre--used to wrestle for Matrats, I think

Jason Sugarman--I know he did some work in Dusty's Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling.

Race Steele--wrestled in Heartland Wrestling.

Matt Stryker--also in Heartland.

Lex Lovett--Florida indie guy. I know he wrestled at the NWA 53 anniversary show a few months back.

That's all I know. Interesting crop of talent.

From the 2000 Pillman Show media guide:

Matt Stryker - 5'11" 208 lbs. - "This kids lives to the extreme" - Joined with Chad Collyer to form Hellena's Hunks (managed by Hellena Heavenly).

Race Steele - 6'2" 250 lbs. - played college football - marital arts & shootfighting background - "New Mexico Bad Ass"

Nothing in there on Collyer.

There are probably a couple of other reasons that Stryker sounds familiar to you
a) will be in the 2002 Super 8
b) there is a guy wrestling as just "Styker" who works up and down the East Coast (ECWA, USA Pro, etc...)

Notes on the others

These guys were all down in Dusty's fed (Turnbuckle)
Sonny Siaki - Yup, the Power Plant guy
Kim Neilson - She showed a couple of times on WCW tv I think
Jason Sugarman
Jorge Estrada

Dupre works in Canada for the fed that isn't ECCW

I am scared that no one knows who the fuck Tomko is

Is it possible Tomko is the guy's real name, not his gimmick name?

Just a thought.

He wasn't just the next Rock... He could have been his much smaller twin brother!

That guy looked like 1999-2000 Rocky, no kidding.

"Eddie Craven"

He did a dark match at the Smackdown taping I was at. He's a cruiserweight, but as he was wrestling a big fat slob (Jim Ford or something, basically Mini-Show), he didn't get to do much. He's green, but can turn out to be pretty good. But realistically, he's a cruiserweight, trying to make it in the WWF, and that pretty much says everything you need to hear.

No matter how bad things may get, just imagine what would happen if Vince Russo was booking again, and you will feel better.

A.J. Styles is one-half of Air Raid along with Air Paris. From all indications I've gotten, Air Raid is a phenomenal tag-team. But Paris, from what I understand, has only wrestled once this year due to injury.

In my Promotion Wars game, Styles and Paris are four-time former WWA World Tag Team Champions.

I didn't say it would be easy, Neo. I just said it would be the truth.

The WWF better not forget that Canada is Wrestling's Bizarro world, and hotshot a Rock heel turn based on the reaction (I wonder if they totally winged that Hogan face turn?).
