There's no way the team that killed the NHL should be allowed to improve themselves. Michigan against the SEC: 20-5-1 (7-3 in bowl games)

I always thought of him, Chris Berman style, as Johnny "A Little Dab" Oduya, which dates me, but this is better.

Senators made a Stanley Cup and only had a few real good years, so I wouldn't put them in the same category as the Sharks. I do hope you're right, though. I just looked at the standings and the Senators have won 11 in a row in addition to the Caps winning 13 in a row. But the Penguins are still in good shape barring a collapse. http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/9471.html

Kovalchuk is a free wheeling, one dimensional offensive player. Now he's going to NJ which plays a defensive trap and does so for the most defensive coach in NHL history. So does Jacque Lemaire force everyone on his team to trap except Kovalchuk? Or does he make Kovalchuk play the trap and make him far less dangerous? The best part of waking up is not Folgers in your cup, but knowing that Chuck Norris didn't kill you in your sleep.
With respect to the Flames recent trades, you missed Cory Stillman (now performing brilliantly for my hockey pool) and Jason Weimer (gritty forward who would be useful in Coach Sutter's new Calgary team) and Phil Housley (an old man, but one with skills)....
