BrrrrrrrrrrrABADOO.

What does it say when Triple H has a significantly better match with the Great Khali than he does with Vladimir Kozlov?

That's the third Edge's sneak-in title win and the same finish as the Raw Scramble, but I'll allow it because of the beard. Bring on ECW champion Christian and the double titles feud with the Hardys.

King, you liar, both world titles changed hands at Survivor Series 2002.

Best non-Edge moment of show: MARYSE FIRES UP AND DOMINATES.

The matches:

Team HBK def. Team JBL

Not a lot going on here that was memorable except Khali raising Rey's hand at the end was kinda funny. Morrison emulating HBK's moves was cool too.

Team Orton def. Team Batista (Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match)

Good match here with a good ending of Orton catching Bautisa with the RKO. CM Punk got a flying shoe to the fac e for his troubles. I think Regal's elimination was the fastest of the night.

WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix Sole Survivor (SmackDown vs. Raw Divas Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match)

Blah.

Undertaker def. Big Show (Casket Match)

Alternative ending to this one up on the stage. Overall, not a great match.

Edge def. WWE Champion Triple H & Vladimir Kozlov (Triple Threat Match)

Yep, Vickie swerves everyone and Edge lives up to his ultimate opportunist moniker once more. He has a beard now - reminds me of...someone. He vs. Jeff should be awesome if that's the route we go. Crowd was chanting 'boring' during the HHH-Koslov mat wrestling portion. Was this a no DQ match? It had to have been for the ref to allow the interference and chair shots but I sure don't remember that being part of the match.

John Cena def. World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho
Team HBK def. Team JBL Traditional (Survivor Series Elimination Match)

I didn't think Cena would do it - but he did. New champ with new wristbands and a tshirt. Good match too.

Overall, solid PPV with Edge's return the hightlight for me. Don't worry kids, Jeffery is still around.

The quick and dirty for WWE Survivor Series 11.23.08 from Boston, MA.

Team HBK over Team JBL in about 18 minutes:
- MVP pinned JTG with the Drive-By Kick.
- The Great Khali pinned MVP with the Judo Chop.
- Rey pinned Kane with a Khali-assisted splash.
- Miz pinned Shad with the Reality Check.
- Rey pinned Miz with a splash.
- JBL got counted out.
- Michaels pinned John Morrison with the Sweet Chin Music.
Survivors: Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, and The Great Khali.
*Yay! MVP got a pin. This was ok for what it was, but I had higher expectations.

Raw Divas over SmackDown Divasin about 9 minutes:
- Kelly pinned Victoria with a rana.
- Maryse pinned Kelly with a backbreaker.
- Mickie pinned Michelle with the Primal Scream.
- Maryse rolled up Mickie.
- Candace pinned Natty with a spear.
- Maria pinned Jillian with a Victory Roll.
- Candace pinned Maria with a Northern Lights Suplex.
- Maryse made Candace submit to a modified figure-4.
- Beth pinned Maryse with the Glam Slam.
Survivor: Beth Phoenix.
*This was mostly filler, but also served to showcase some of the talented divas on either roster. Not near the level of the Knockouts, per say, but it's good to see them trying. Maria's come a long way from where she was.

The Undertaker over Big Show in about 13 minutes
* I liked the psychology of Show trashing the casket, and these two have had some solid matches now. Loved the new finish, and it was a better one than the schmozz that I had gone in expecting. I still think Show should've taken this match, though.

Team Orton over Team Batista in about 16 minutes:
- Punk pinned Regal with the G2S right off the bat. Fucking awesome!
- Benjamin pinned R-Truth with the Paydirt.
- Orton pinned Kofi with a rope-assisted DDT.
- Rhodes pinned Punk with the DDT.
- Henry pinned Mark Hardy with the World's Strongest Slam.
- Batista pinned Henry with the spear.
- Batista pinned Shelton with the Demonbomb.
- Orton pinned Batista with the RKO.
Survivors: Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.
* Finally, the correct result prevails. It was a fun match, in that it actually had a build, leading to each of the eliminations, than just filler wrestling, then big move, then pin, rinse and repeat.

Edge over Triple H and Vladimir Kozlov in about 15 minutes when Edge pinned HHH after a Jeff Hardy chairshot.
*Bearded Edge = MEGAHEEL. I have no qualms with him as WWE champ, either. I still think he need not be with Vickie, but I'm giving them a chance to surprise me. Trips and Vlady was plodding along, and I hope not to see a singles match between them in the near future. The Jeff Hardy appearance at the end leaves me smelling a four-way for the title soon enough.

John Cena over Chris Jericho via FU in about 21 minutes.
*I adamantly remain of the opinion that this is the wrong result. Cena should've chased for another PPV or two with Jericho retaining via shenanigans, DQ, whatever. The match was nice but nothing mind-blowing. Jericho catching Cena with the Liontamer and not the Walls of Jericho was a markout moment for me, though.

**Prediction Counter: 2 for 6, though to be fair, it was damn near impossible to predict the Edge title win.

**This PPV lacked a bit in match quality, but with the returns and the title changes, there is still some quality entertainment here. I get PPVs for free in India, so I can't tell you if it was worth your $50 or however much they're charging now. My major gripe was that the main event and the opener could've done with more time, especially since there were only six matches on the card. I mean, Undertaker's entrance lasted 3:47 (I counted!). Some of the booking left me wondering, but they're not in a hole that they can't dig out of. Did I mention Bearded Edge = MEGAHEEL?

**Lets call it 5.5/10 and go with thumbs in the middle.

Reading around the 'net, apparently I'm in the minority in digging the women's match on PPV; some interesting elimination orders and new moves pulled out by the ladies. Solid effort.

The rest was blah. HHH vs. Kozlov was majorly boring. Taker and Show stunk. Cena's win upon return reeks of desperation from WWE. The elimination tag matches were quite average. Plus 1 for Layla's shoe perfectly striking CM Punk in the face.

All Triple Threat matches are by nature no-DQ, so once Vickie added Edge to the mix and made it a Triple Threat, the interference and chairshots all became totally legal.

Not a good PPV.

- Team Batista vs Team Orton was the match of the night and had some nice booking at the end there.

- Helmsley/Kozlov was amazingly terrible. JR was in full sell the match as anything mode 'different', 'unique', 'mat based' etc etc. He should have just called it what it was, a giant turd from the start that just kept getting stinkier and stinkier.

- Edge and Hardy almost saved the match. Edge winning the title is nice, but the fact that they did the right thing and put him back with Vickie made me even happier.

- John Cena didn't get as big a reaction, good or bad, as I thought he would. I would have figured his initial reaction would have been a lot more. I know they tried to sell it as such, but it seemed really underwhelming. The match was disappointing as well. I'm not sure if he was just rusty and being cautious or worse yet net fully healed.

So are we looking at Edge/Hardy for the title? Or Edge/Hardy/HHH? Or are they really gonna slug on with Kozlov?

I would assume that it would be edge vs triple H. because Hardy already had what 4 tittle shots in a row? If they didn't have enough faith in him this time I can only hope he wins the rumble and faces edge at mania

It's not just the beard Edge is letting grow. He's going Swingtown.

On the other hand, he's lost some muscle development.

The homeless guy who panhandles down the street from my apartment beat Triple H for the title? Oh wait...that's Edge. Never mind.

Jeff Hardy will NEVER going to win a major singles' title...unless he and Matt feud for the ECW title.

Decent card, but I admit, I didn't miss Cena at all. JR should have been honest with the HHH/Kozlov title match, and broke out the "Bowling Shoe Ugly" line.

Vickie looked hot last night.

Just because I found it amusing, here are some "spoilers" for last night's even from ProWrestling.net. They're obviously very in the know at that site.

-- John Cena is expected to look good tonight but we will lose against Chris Jericho.

-- With the recent Jeff Hardy storyline, expect him to win tonight by pinning Vladimir Kozlov.

-- Undertaker is expected to win tonight's Casket Match against Big Show without interference. He will most likely use the Death Triangle on the Big Show and then roll him into the box.

-- Batista and Matt Hardy are expected to survive on their team, but based on history Randy Orton will be the last man standing for his team and win the match.

-- Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali are expected to win together tonight.

-- Mickie James, Candice Michelle, and Kelly Kelly are expected to win tonight after Santino Marella costs Beth Phoenix the win.

That language is always funny to me. Who exactly "expects" this stuff to happen again? The spoiler writer? The WWE? Are you telling me the reader to expect these things?

He doesn't use that language, Hokie. Go read the article yourself, because you must have pulled those "spoilers" from another site misquoting him. He even posts a blurb at the start of the article pointing out that all his predictions are completely speculative.

Why we always have to read the whole article.

Never said I was bothered by it. I thought it was good for a laugh. As someone above suggested, I did in fact read it from another site -- specifically rajah.com. Apparently whomever reported on it there misread, and I magnified the error. Sorry, all.

While we're fighting over what some crap ass site predicted or spoiled the fact remains the whole Raw lineup is really a mess right now. There is nothing new or exciting happening here. I can see being jazzed if you are an Orton or Cena fan, but other than that I don't see much reason to watch tonight's show. I'm not saying this to be Mr Negative wrestling fan, but I would really like someone to sell me on a show that is supposed to be the 'flagship show', but has become show number 3 of 3 to me.

Raw is a really bad product right now and one of the big four PPV's did nothing to change that.
