Just thought I'd tell you guys, I love wrestling.

I was there at MSG last night...the crowd was electric for the majority of the 3 hours. The crowd was HOT for the Big Show/Brock match (I didn't see the PPV so I don't know how it came off on TV). When was the last time people got into the Big Show's matches? Anyway, after the ending (which HAD to happen - Brock is injured, people), Brock got a STANDING ovation from the crowd, which it appeared they didn't show on TV (I just saw Tazz and Cole talking on the screen). Aside from that, it was a great event to be at. Maybe sitting there at home, people don't see what I see, but I loved it. Like the commercial says, there's nothing like seeing the WWE live. Especially at MSG.

To those people arguing on this board about hating WWE and liking it....I just think it's sad. To those who hate it, fine. Just stop LOOKING for reasons to hate it. It's masochistic what you guys are doing. I'm starting to believe you really want garbage to happen. To those who like it, don't listen when they say you take whatever WWE spoon feeds you. If they hate the wrestling they see, and you love it, who gets the better value out of that 34.95? You do.

I love wrestling. I understand that some don't, but looking at this board....It's pretty sad how unhappy some of you really are.

I'm an easier person to please than most on this board... at least that's the impression I'm getting from the others. I know for a fact that seeing the WWE live is something that is unreal (having seen it years ago). So it must be doubly special when they come to MSG. I liked the PPV, despite my predictions of Booker T and Brock not coming true. It was fun, especially when you don't have to overanalyze everything. I only get masochistic when they give me crap (like Dawn Marie and Al), but that because they ask for it. Other than that, I'm a raving optimist and 35 bucks was well spent, especially since it wasn't MY 35 bucks, but my brother's.. heh heh heh...

I loved the PPV, but as far as the hot MSG crowd goes... why were they so dead for the Noble/Kidman match? The only time I heard a single pop was when Kidman would go up for the Shooting Star...
And man, did you see that DDT? ouch... and no response... whats up with that?

Well I did say it was hot for the MAJORITY of the 3 hours (another dead spot came during the elimination chamber when things were slowing down a little too much, a little too early), and the crowd let out a definite "OOOOOOOOO" when he hit the DDT....like I said, something up with the way MSG comes across on TV, cause there was definite reaction there. I can't speak for everybody, but that first table match was so wild, and everybody was so into it (especially at the end), that I had to cool down. It's just like at WrestleMania where the Hogan/Rock match was so powerful that the crowd was near-dead for the main event. Kidman/Noble had to take one for the team there, no fault of theirs or their (what I believed to be a quite decent) match.

Yeah, really. That DDT was about one of the coolest spots of the night. Damn that Jamie Noble for making me a fan of his. He was never this good in WCW.

I enjoyed the PPV as well. I mean, people in here bitch about everything. If they scripted the show, they still would bitch. I wonder are they really fans or fans of bitching.

The DDT was classic... I was watching with my roomate, and either Tazz or Cole said something to the effect of "I haven't seen a DDT like that since..." and we both, in unison, said "Jake the Snake..." And since he is a Mark, I guess that makes me one too.
That was a finisher-worthy move too, I think. Will we see it again?

I hope we do...the only problem is that very few can take that move like Kidman. You have to make sure the DDT-ee knows how to not get himself killed.

Well, I've never been to a PPV live but I've watched them all since NWO 01 in a pub and the crowd always gets excited which is good. It's much more fun to watch wrestling when you're in a frenzied atmosphere than when everyone is sitting on their hands. This was especially true during Hogan/Rock which was the loudest I've ever heard the pub get.

I could swear that (K)noble's used that top rope DDT in a PPV earlier this year... I could be remembering it wrong though. It's weird how much he's grown on me. When he first got the title I was upset because I kind of prefer my cruiserweights to...you know.... cruise. But now I'm kinda sad to see him lose it. Oh well, at least it's to Kidman. I can dig that.

Didn't he use it when he beat the Hurricane for the belt at KOTR?

Funny thing, I remembered the DDT spot, but I didn't remember the actual crowd reaction until just now. The section I was sitting in definitely took notice of that, even if they did sit quiet for most of the rest of the match.

I love watching the PPV in bars and Hooters. For Summerslam this year I was at Hooters and about 150 people were there for the PPV, the place went into oohhs and aahhs for Benoit vs RVD, but during HHH vs HBK, the whole restaruant was on fire, people were screaming and yelling and jumping up and down by the end.

The match followed D-vons return, which was electric. The crowd blew their load and had to recuperate during this match.

Damn that Jamie Noble for making me a fan of his. He was never this good in WCW.

I remember him being fairly awesome in WCW, too, both as Jamie-san in the Jung Dragons, and then as just Jamie Knoble.

Noble used that DDT as a finisher on Kidman on Smackdown pretty soon after he debuted, I think before he even won the cruiser belt. This time Kidman managed to kick out, must be the tights.

As a person who was also there live, I'll say this on the subject why the Kidman/Noble match was dead: No one cared! Granted both men did their best to get the crowd into the match, but its hard when you could careless about Kidman's one really impressive move vs. Noble's constantly kicking out of every finisher used on him. It got good near the end, but this was just a relax match after the hot table match.

The problem in this watch for me was I could careless who has the cruiserweight belt. While Smackdown has done a lot of good things, the bad thing since day one has been the cruiserweight division. There has been little or no interest in it and having Noble carry this belt since KOTR has brought the division down. The same goes for the woman's divsion, the heels have the belt for 10 out of the 12 months and interest dies out. I am a firm believer if you want to get a division over let the face run for it for three months. Chasing the belt with the same heel holding it for more than three months is lame.

A Fan- I liked the match, but I could see why most fans would be bored by it.

Can't disagree with you more on that one. Noble holding the belt gave it a little stability, which is more than can be said for the first month of the split-the belt went from Tajiri to Kidamn back to Tajiri to Hurricane. Plus, Noble rocks the casbah, both in the ring and on the mic. The cruiser division will never be as hot as it was in WCW, but I have no problem with it's current incarnation.

No question about it- Lilian wins hands down. To me, Trish is incredibly overrated. She's probably number 8 of the divas- behind Torrie, Lilian, Stacy, Dawn Marie, Steph, Ivory, and Molly. Sure she's got the big boobs, but that face is very disturbing....
