Are they going to come in destroying everyone, including heels as well as faces? Will they just be Vince's lapboys to do his bidding? If it is the latter, this is going to be lamer than lame. I thougt these guess were going to be a totally destrucive force and go after everyone, but it seems Vince is now going to be the leader. The more I read and see on WWF TV, the more I think this is going to turn into Invasion pt. 2. I truly hope Vince and co. can change my mind. I truly do not think so though.

My prediction is that the NWO angle will bomb terribly, justl ike the Godfather's "Escorts" and even more fans will be turned off of WWF TV. The NWO will only last 2 months and then they will just wrestlers on the roster.

Ya gotta have optimism!!!

Besides, after ruining the WCW brand, there's no way he'd let the nWo name die within too much. He's got too much pride for that.

Actually if the nWo bombs, Vince can always bring in the oWn. He's already got the chair for it. Next time, just don't turn have Vince turn it around so you have to look at it in the mirror. :p

Why else would they show a Warrior match on Excess last Saturday? They're preparing us.

The NWO will indeed bomb and The Warrior will save the WWF from ruin.

I totally believe this is going to bomb and bomb BIG. I am talking heel Goldberg big. They had it in the palm of their hands. Vince is going crazy, he brings in the NWO, knowing they will destroy the WWF along with him. But now it is he NWO coming in working for Vince and Steph? This is retarded. I wanted the NWO to be a group that heels and faces were scared of. But now it looks like UT and Angle will be in the NWO and they will just be Vince's booty buddies.
The only thing I can see is if the NWO kicks Vince's ass and gives Steph the Razor's Edge on RAW. But I totally think this will bomb.

Ooooooh, yes...

After all, Vince said that bringing in the nWo would be something even he would regret. What better way to demonstrate that than to have the nWo turn on him?

An Outsider's Edge for Stephanie, a Jackknife Powerbomb through a table for Vince-- GETTING THEM BOTH OFF MY TELEVISION.

...But that would make them default faces, right?... Crap.

Anyway, it's very hard to say whether or not this will bomb... seeing as how they haven't even debuted yet! Damn, people, try to have a little faith. The WWF didn't last this long because Vince McMahon is an idiot.

I didn't say it would be easy, Neo. I just said it would be the truth.

You know when the WWF production crew was painting "oWn" on the chair, there had to have been Warrior jokes flying about. I wonder what wisecracks Vince makes backstage about trapdoors in the ring, armbands, the Repo Man's trenchcoat and smoke bombs?

I think the main thing is, back when Vince was just going nuts and bringing in the nWo to destroy everything I was really excited. There was going to be something different happening. But now Vince is not nuts. Steph is back on his side. They're going to run the nWo. I've seen this a million times before (probably less, but over 3 times in the last year). It's boring, it's stupid, I'm not excited. That makes me sad :(

I think the biggest problem is that they had it set up perfect, but let it slip away.

If I am not mistaken, the NWO, at its best, was about a group of guys who couldn't be controled, couldn't be contained, did as they pleased, and you never knew when or where they would strike next, but you did know they would.

Seriously if they wanted to make an impact, they should have had Vince in the Ring with Flair, and then all of a sudden, enter the NWO to punk Flair out, and THEN Vince says that he's bringing in the NWO.
The strength of the group was the pearl harbour attacks (Like Big Poochie could sneak up on anything short of a corpse), but pearl Harbour wouldn't have worked with a warning a month in advance.

PLUS, as has been pointed out in articles on /wrestling, no one really seems to be talking about it.
And wasn't NWO at its worst, near the end, when the group had like 50 guys in it? NWO vs WCW lost its nostalgia when WCW had no one of note left in it. (Oooo, NWO vs WCW, Nash vs Hugh Morrus)

What I'd like to see, have them come in, kick ass, wreak Havok, then turn on Vince. Have them recruit a few guys, and then throw them to the dogs

This just cracks me up for some reason. If anything could get my wife to watch wrestling on a semi-regular basis again, this would be it.

The nWo could bomb or not. Vinnie Mac does know how to run a wrestling company and if he senses trouble he'll stop the angle. Personally, just seeing Hogan, Hall, and Nash on my T.V. would be enough to bring back this WCW mark. Besides now all the dream matches we have waited for will finally come true. GIVE THIS ANGLE A CHANCE PEOPLE! THE CROWD HAS POPPED FOR THESE THREE ALREADY!

Could you guys let the angle take a direction first before you start criticizing the direction of the angle? The nWo hasn't even arrived yet, how do you know they are going to do Vince's bidding? Did you guys get a hold of some booking sheets or scripts or something? Let the nWo at least actually show up on a show before you declare the angle a failure.

I'm not saying that it's a failure. I'm saying that for me personally, the buildup has totally fizzled, and that's half the fun. Like I said, I was so psyched and everything, and now I'm just praying that it doesn't suck.

I dont think the angle is going to suck... i think there is a lot of direction that the angle may go... and i'm pretty sure after the invasion fiasco that if the direction starts off wrong then they will change it.... for example... if doing vince's bidding doesn't bring the heat... then they will turn on vince....

are you enjoying the dance of life?.... no?... change the music then.....

It's not a criminal charge, nor would it be against Vince personally. Although... I'm surprised he hasn't come up with an evil stockbroker gimmick yet. That would get such heel heat these days.
