Of all the songs in the whole wide world, why steal from Sunny Came Home? WHY?
The worst part is after they play that little bit (in the video that's playing somtimes on VH1, when VH1 plays videos) the stuipd singer says "It's everywhere you want to be" and NO NO "It's Sunny Came Home, you STOLE IT, SHUT UP, you probably stole your one good song from someone too"
Not that I even like Sunny Came Home. I think that makes it worse.
I picked up No Name Face cheap, and it's not a bad album. I didn't notice any blatent thievery.
HOWEVER ... to shift the topic ever so slightly ... i now hate Hanging by a Moment. Why? Because my local radio station played the fricking thing into the ground. The first fifty times I heard the song I loved it. The next hundred times it was getting tiring. It's the best song on their album and I skip it because I've heard it so much.
Those bastards at CJ92 likewise ruined Bohemian Like You for me, and now they are ruining The Strokes' Last Nite! Commercial radio sucks! I got a CD/MP3 player for my car for Christmas so this will never happen again! Horray!
Past hills of chambermaids' dark bare arms and fields of muscles quilted to the bone, Right now I'm flying over, yeah right now I'm flying home.
Most of the time (using Our Lady Peace albums as a reference point), the singles are just the most radio-friendly. A lot of stuff on Spiritual Machines was awesome, but only the sappy radio-friendly stuff like Life got released as singles.
