There used to be a lot of them around Minnesota, but according to their store locator, the closest one is in Illinois at this point. (Whereas the nearest Jack In The Box is in Missouri). We do have Hardees which at times seem to share food ideas with Jack in the Box (the $6.95 burger comes to mind) From what I can tell they aren't licensed by the same group of people, though.

Hardee's is Carl's Jr. (or the other way round, I forget)

I'm tired of Jack in the Box anyway - ever since they decided to put ketchup AND mustard on The Ultimate Cheeseburger, it's really been a chore to special order my burger the CORRECT way.

Besides, you are gaining Nye's and the pickled beets! Bonus for you.

I still haven't mailed your hard drives yet - do you want me to try to mail them tomorrow to your current place, or should I wait?

Might as well wait and see if I have a hard drive to back up when we get there. ;-)

The franchisee in Minnesota (and six other states) went bankrupt. What he didn't close, he sold to Kum & Go.

On the other hand, at least Costco is up there now.

There is only one thing to say:

If I can someday get my brother Pieman to come visit, we could hit the links somewhere (I MIGHT be able to get us onto Hazeltine) and have a good 'ol time. No, Pie, I won't force you to listen to my coutnry music, either.

Bitchfactor, I haven't seen a 7-11 around here in EONS. You WILL see a shitload of Super Americas and Holiday stores. Hell, they're on every other block. They Do have White Castle, tho. Yummmmmmmyyyyyyyyy.........

If you ever decide to go venturing about an hour north of the Twin Cities, drop me a line (Pieman has my e-mail and #) I'll see what I can do to make a little fun for you both. Have a good move!

-jbs-

-edit- I also forgot to give props to Frosty for the weatherman pic. My bad, Al N~!

I haven't really lived there since 1988, so my memories are fuzzy and sepia-toned.

Also, GOLF?! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha [Chris: "The only links I hit are sausage links."]

No Jack in the Boxes made me sad, but not as sad as not being able to by Dave's cigarettes as soon as I crossed a state or two.

Best of luck to you, CRZ...moving is never easy; and being away from everything familiar takes some getting used to.

How's your brother dealing with the move? What's to be of our beloved W?

The SOK has seen the following cinematic masterpieces so far this year:

Eurotrip; Scooby Doo 2; Shrek 2; The Ladykillers; Spider-Man 2; Anchorman.

Best: Spider-Man 2; Worst: Ladykillers.

Umm... I'm fine?

I live 400+ miles away already. Now I'm just not going to see him randomly as often (or perhaps, more often in the winter when it's snowing there?)

I think we'll all be fine

//edit: The board is already hosted out of Florida, so it's not moving. The old server is sitting in pieces in my house in San Diego.

My apologies, Guru...I was under the impression both of you were located in California.

Shows how much I know about the lives of our dictator and his brother :-)

They were both in California. It's a big state.
