Yeah, so, remember how in the regional coverage thread, I mentioned that I had a story to tell about hockey? Here we go.
At my college, our big sport is hockey. It's the reason we moved up to Division I about five or six years ago. Last year, we even made the NCAA tourney. Sure, we lost in the first round, getting our asses blown out, but it was our first time in there. Well, we've got a TV deal for some of our games. It's with NESN. Sounds good, right?
Well, we don't get NESN on campus. Nor would we. Hell, we don't even get it anywhere in CT, last time I checked.
They've also been emailing us about every game that's on NESN, in spite of the fact that WE CAN'T WATCH THEM. Anyone else see something inherently stupid about the administration?
I think the idea was three points for ANY win, so the overtime loss point isn't such a big thing. In fact, you might make the OT win only two points (each team gets one point for the regulation tie, and you play for the third point in OT...
