Does anyone know an eight-letter word for "Synonym for United States President"? I've run out of options (or maybe I'm just stupid) ...

Nope ... In fact, I need the letters from this one to provide me with clues to figure out the other words; this is the easy one, IMO

Just a hunch CRZ, but I'm betting the answer to your question is "No." Of course, it is possible that the reason Alessandro didn't tell us the answer is because he never did get it. If that's the case Alessandro, and you're reading this, could you please at least let the gang here in Wienerville know the final outcome? Did you get the full word? Did you discover any of its letters? I for one am still very curious to know (which should give you all some idea as to how exciting my life is).

| #13 Posted on 4.3.03 1419.01 | Instant Rating: 3.04 | Sorry, I complete forgot I had polled the Weinerville audience for advice on the matter ...
And you guessed correctly - I put in "The Chief" as someone here suggested (seemed like the best possible choice out there), tried to figure out the other adjoining clues, couldn't do it, got frustrated, tore up the crossword puzzle and gave up ... Sad, really.
To be honest, I'm surprised anyone here was actually wondering whether or not I came up with the solution ... If I had known that, I might have put a bit more effort into finishing it
