I can't see them moving either of them unless a major priority shift happens. After last year's draft, the top two faces on Smackdown were Big Show and Rey so they could keep Orton as #2 on Raw and move Edge over to boot.

I fear not even a move to SD can save Bourne and/or Danielson. I would more expect them to be future endeavored

That's not going to happen. Just because they aren't pushing them doesn't mean they don't like having them around filling out their roster. At dirt worst they have years of false start pushes and "can get a good reaction, take good bumps, and lose a hot match to a heel we're pushing" ahead of them. Unless they go all MVP/Kaval.

Del Rio moving to Raw is the kind of hilarious one-sided move they might pull in years past (Carlito, Mr. Kennedy, I'm sure there are others) but I don't think they'd do it because it would foreshadow the vacant title match in a non-intriguing way. What if one or both Christian and Del Rio are drafted to RAW and Miz and A-Ri are drafted to Smackdown?

If one of the people in the Extreme Rules title picture is drafted to the other show, my guess is they'll do the same thing they've done before in this situation: Have someone from their old show beat them for the title and bring it back over to that show. (See: CM Punk cashing in on Edge and returning the World Title to the RAW brand).

"Nobody ever came out and said, 'Please pass a law so I can be forced to stop doing something I shouldn't be doing,' no, it's always 'Please pass a law to force them to stop doing something that I don't like.'"

I'm not sure if that would accomplish anything in terms of giving people new chances. Christian, Del Rio, and The Miz are already the top guys on their show. They don't need to move and risk losing a spot to someone established on that brand.

Moving them would give us new matches, which is what WWE always says the point of the draft is. In reality though, they do it to try to shake some talent (both wrestlers and writers) out of a creative lull, hoping that a few will shine with a new chance to grow.

Is the draft before or after the rumoured talent purge?

Past precedent indicates that the draft comes before the annual roster spring cleaning.

Yeah. There have been several cases where a guy has been drafted to a brand (almost always the non-TV portion) but gets released before they appear on that brand. I don't know why they even bother.

All I want from the Draft is Kelly Kelly to RAW.

I don't even know why I want this. It really makes no difference. Still, this is what I decided I want and WWE better give it to me. Or else I'll complain on Twitter.

Having Cena and Sin Cara team up feels like the surest indicator of someone moving - let Cara get his arms raised and pose with Cena for the rub while he can before you move him over to SmackDown, where he probably belongs anyway. And then you can have Sin Cara vs. Wade Barrett every week for a few months where Barrett keeps trying to hit the Wasteland on Cara and Cara repeatedly counters it with rolling headscissors.

I would hope Ziggler and Punk don't move back so soon, as it wouldn't be good for either and I like seeing Punk.

A Sheamus for Cody trade seems like a good move for both sides. Sheamus needs to move now, and Sheamus vs. Big Show, Kane and Kofi all seem like logical WWE feuds. Cody is currently stuck in limbo between Barrett's IC title level and Del Rio's main title level. He also deserves the move and seems like he's ready for entertaining test runs against Orton or Cena and an actual feud against Bryan if he stays on Raw. I'd also kind of like to see a Punk/Rhodes alliance.

Shoving Morrison over on SmackDown also feels like a given both to get rid of him and have another face for the show to hang, team and get into eventual slap fights with Christian. Morrison/Misterio also seems like a logical WWE friendship/tag team.

The two that really, really need to go to SmackDown for their own sakes have already been mentioned: Ryder and DiBiase. Del Rio/DiBiase is one of those glaringly obvious heel alliances that you figure even they wouldn't miss, and Del Rio treating the slightly-less-rich DiBiase like garbage gives you a clear route to a theoretical Ted Jr. face turn. It would also probably do him some good to work with Misterio and Christian and be on a taped show. Ryder, meanwhile, should become Teddy Long's protege, calling upon Teddy's storied history as a motivational speaker (see his work with High Voltage) and wearer of fine suits.

Would split up Morrison and Melina on the road too, although they've been through that before and are still going ... however you'd describe their relationship.

Meltzer says the original plans before Edge's retirement was for Del Rio to be drafted to Raw as world champion in June. I wonder who was going to Smackdown. Miz seems unlikely. Orton I guess? It also means they had a planned end for Miz's title reign that wasn't him losing to Cena?

Assuming they don't just cut Melina and immediately put Morrison in an on-screen relationship with Kelly Kelly as many assume, I will be disappointed in the lack of awfulness of everyone involved if nobody backstage comes up with the idea to put Morrison and Melina together on camera again, only to immediately run a storyline where Melina begins cheating on him with Mason Ryan.

Orton makes the most sense: we'd be looking at Orton/Miz starting now instead of prolonging the Punk feud, and moving both champs in June gives you juuuust enough time to put together SummerFest programs for each belt (Del Rio vs. Cena and...Orton/Edge? Barrett?). Putting the belt on Morrison to move it seems unlikely given his current standing, so I can't see anything else short of doing something crazy like having Sin Cara win it out of nowhere and immediately get drafted or have Lawler actually get the shock win over Miz and then HE gets drafted.

Predictions for this Draft:

Wade Barrett will go back to Raw, and they can then have Barrett and Punk interactions concerning their teams.

Randy Orton will go to Smackdown and feud with Alberto Del Rio.

Alex Riley will go to Smackdown and then be cut the next day (okay, that's just my wish).

Rey Mysterio will go to Raw, and the slow build to Mysterio/Sin Cara will begin.

Am i the only one that takes color scheme into consideration when deciding which wrestler depends on which brand. You can't put the pale carrot top on Smackdown. He'll totally clash with the Smackdown blue. Surely somebody agrees with me?

No? Never mind.

Wade for Sheamus moves the IC title back to RAW and the US title back to SmackDown.

The tag champs can wrestle on both shows, well... never mind now.
