The draft is next Monday. I guess it's only two hours.

I hate the draft. BUT they could pull a 2009 when they took the go-nowhere Smackdown show and rebuilt it around Edge, Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Punk, and Rey, at a time when none of them but Edge were being used as headliners.

The only time the big shuffle is useful is when you take the guys who are blocked by the usual suspects and move them to the other side. Last year it didn't really work that way. They took Edge and Jericho off of Smackdown and replaced them with Big Show, while Kofi Kingston, Christian, and MVP (remember him?) moved over but didn't move up.

But this year they've got no choice. Right? I think. I don't want an equal Smackdown, because they stopped pretending five years ago. Cena and Orton as the lead man on each side would be logical, but if they didn't do it last year, then it's pretty apparent that they see Smackdown, even cable Smackdown, as a waste of their top starpower.

All I want is a Smackdown where the talented guys stuck on Raw can go to Smackdown and having a bigger playground to actually do things.

- Sheamus is stagnant on Raw and can go to SD and headline again
- Morrison can take a higher face spot if they forget they hate him right now
- Bryan and Bourne can go from the pointless bottom to the useful middle

Instead of being a third-rate Raw, Smackdown can be a super version of ECW, where they get guys over as players to eventually be re-poached by Raw.

As a guy that's been recapping SmackDown for the last 10 months, I can say that show DESPERATELY needs the draft and has needed the draft since the mass exodus of babyfaces (MVP, Matt Hardy, and Kaval leaving the company; Undertaker and Christian leaving due to injury). And now with Edge's sudden retirement, they need the shakeup that much more.

Up until this episode with Trish, I'd have pegged Morrison as the odds-on favorite to move over and win the World Title, as a reward for stealing the show at the Rumble and Chamber PPV's, but now that's completely up in the air. I wouldn't doubt that if Truth puts on a good showing at the PPV, that he'll be the one to take that spot. Truth has a lot riding on this chance he's being given.

Agreed that Bryan needs to get moved. Bryan can easily fill up 20-minute TV matches and a prolonged feud with Swagger or Del Rio could be immensely entertaining.

SmackDown can also revive a lot of careers that are going nowhere. I actually think the move would benefit Ted DiBiase greatly. He needs to get as far away from his disastrous Raw run as possible.

Not sure who moves to Raw, as this year's going to be more about evening the scales a bit and giving SmackDown enough guys to fill up two hours and feel fresh again. If anyone were to move to Raw, I'd say it's either Del Rio or Cody Rhodes, since SD's really heavy on the heel side. If Del Rio moves, Barrett can fill in capably and there's always the option of turning Kane for the millionth time.

Oh, and can we PLEASE shake up the Divas roster, so I can cover something BESIDES Kelly Kelly and LayCool? PLEASE?

EDIT: Man, I totally forgot about McIntyre. If anyone needs a change of scenery, it's him!

I want to see the IC title back on RAW, whether it's with Wade Barrett or not.

You say that now, but.

    Barrett

Booker, can you imagine what will happen if a member of the Corre/the New Nexus is drafted to another brand? I myself cannot. What will become of the Corre/the New Nexus?

The draft is pretty pointless since they do whatever they want anyway.

I still think that they should stick all the smaller wrestling based guys on Smackdown and just make it the wrestling based show.

Announcing the draft the night after Extreme Rules is pretty much the last nail in the coffin for people giving that PPV a chance. But if you were going to make a PPV a skippable one, maybe they shouldn't be asking people to fall off of ladders?

If Sheamus goes to Smackdown either he or Barrett have to become a face somehow. Hopefully, that doesn't give us a Hornswaggle/Sheamus run.

Morrison might as well go, maybe he elevates Drew McIntyre up the ladder from out of the dog house.

Bourne I can see going, Bryan probably stays since he fills the wrasslin' quota on Raw many nights and he also has that Benoit role where a top guy can face him and look like he just had a really physical match.

Other than that there isn't a whole lot of moves to be made. Zach Ryder should move and breaking up the Nexus/Corre would be fine. I can see Swagger going to Raw. Most likely they swap guys like Mark Henry for Kane.

Oops! Here I thought it was for the night after. Does this mean they're waiting until the night before the PPV to draw up the card, considering they'll have to wait for the draft results?

I am thinking this is a knee jerk reaction to Edge as well as Taker being out for awhile. Orton, Punk and Bryan will probably go to Smackdown while Raw gets Kane or Wade. Honestly, I wish they would combine the brands or at least have one champion, but that is a pipe dream.

I read Justin's post three times and imagined two weeks all three times.

I guess doing it before the PPV allows them to do "this is the last time these two people will ever have a chance to fight!" hype? (Even if we know the likelyhood of that.)

Skip Sheffield has to goto Smackdown. Maybe join Corre or maybe to break them up.

Kidd or Smith needs the move too. Kidd needs it more.

Swagger, Show or Kane to RAW.

Would a heel Daniel Bryan work in the WWe? If he joined the New Nexus because he wanted to be in Nexus all-a-long and Wade kicked him out?

If we had gotten a Punk Nexus vs. a Bryan Corre ... well, I'd rather they skipped the sidekicks and let the leads have their feud alone.

I think you gotta split LayCool, and I think they should move Michell and Taker to RAW. Or rather, ignore a roster spot for Taker and have him pop up on both shows when his presence can spike interest.

Dolph on RAW may be a big mistake what with two heels currently holding belts, and they could fix that with a draft.

This sums up the truth about the WWE's situation, but for the sake of argument:

Let's get Daniel Bryan over onto Smackdown as a face along with Morrison (the WWE will probably move his as "punishment" not realizing that it will probably help his career more than anything) and may as well move Zack Ryder and give him a shot while you're at it.

Sheamus moving to Smackdown is exactly what he needs right now too. I almost think that they have to move Orton or someone that "big" to Smackdown to give them an instant top-level face, but I have a feeling that the only reason R-Truth was put in the main event was to fool us into thinking that HE is a top-level face, and then shuffle him to Smackdown.

As far as guys going to RAW, Mcintyre is desperately in need of a fresh start. Not many other people CAN really move or else Smackdown will still be short of name guys. Just for It's False's sake, I would move Kelly Kelly to RAW as one of the first picks (and then announce on the website that LayCool is also moving to RAW).

And I would love to see Kaitlyn get called back to the main roster and then put on RAW. If you wanna just push "entertainment" and forget "wrestling", get that girl on live tv NOW.

The only other one I would move to RAW would be Brodus Clay. The guy has a GREAT look for an 80's style monster heel just waiting for Hulk Hogan to destroy him. He is horribly mis-matched with Del Rio to the point of looking like he doesn't even have a place on the show. I know that there are guys in the WWE who probably fight every day to get him fired since he doesn't:
A) look like a roid freak or
B) look like a male model/olympic swimmer
but I just think they got a chance to make something out of this guy the way they almost did with Umaga.

Well, it was described to Dave Meltzer as "a panic mood", and that it wasn't going to be happening until June before everything happened. (Which would have made sense, since there are two 3-hour drafts schedule in June.)

This is pretty much the big problem I have with the way the WWE interprets its brands. So often, they move a guy to RAW, and you can tell they think they're doing him a favor by moving him to the A show. But the only thing that got the guy over in the first place was being able to have long wrestling matches on Smackdown. The latest example of this is Dolph Ziggler. I like the guy, but I have no faith in his ability to get over on RAW.

And for the record, I 'd really like to see Evan Bourne moved to Smackdown so he could do some stuff with Rey Mysterio.

Logic would say Orton goes to SD to be #1 face, as I can't see them moving Cena.

I fear not even a move to SD can save Bourne and/or Danielson. I would more expect them to be future endeavored, which is a shame, since either should be on SD working with Mistico.

I'll get the ball rolling here on these Superstars eps. I hope no one got their hopes up on John Morrison building up any kind of winning streak. Brodus Clay needs to be on my TV, if for no other reason, than just because he's something different.
