I completely skipped the first season. I watched the first episode almost through the opening credits untill I read that Bret Ratner was behind the series and quickly changed the channel. Then, a funny thing happened; I got stuck watching an episode of it during the summer and discovered it was surprisingly good. Then I got the Season 1 boxed set and watched it all the way through which brought me up to speed for the new season.
It's going a little slow and they've already killed off one of my favorite characters, but it hasn't dissapointed me yet, thankfully. Peter Storemare a good actor and I kinda wish they had done more with him.
I can't lie, I haven't looked forward to this episode. The show's on a big losing streak, as it is, and the episode's premise seemed so cliche that I was expecting nothing out of it. And of course, we weren't off to a good start.
