"Football Season is Over" Here, published for the first time, are perhaps his final written words:
No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun -- for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax -- This won't hurt.
At the bottom of the page, Hunter drew a happy heart, the kind found on Valentine's cards. Four days later, on February 20th, he committed suicide by firing his pistol into his mouth.
(if I remember correctly, the remainder of the book-length suicide note will be published in Jan '06 in The Mutineer...)
I guess I'm just a dork for all things Grant Morrison. I really enjoyed this series. I enjoy Geoff Johns and most of his stuff, but I think Final Crisis out did everything he tried to do in the past few years.
