Buried in the latest newsletter from Astralwerks was this...

The groundbreaking first albums from the Human League have been reissued. "Reproduction," "Travelogue" and "Dare" have all been digitally remastered and include no fewer than 7 bonus tracks each! On their third album, Dare!, the Human League hit pay dirt. Perfectly fusing electronic music with infectiously catchy songwriting,"Dare" is one of the best selling electronic albums ever. Unlike other albums made at the time, it still sounds fresh and innovative. The entire "Love and Dancing" album (one of the earliest example of a remix album, featuring instrumental and dance mixes from "Dare," as well as the track "Hard Times") is included as bonus material.

Gee, I kind of need to go buy these as soon as possible. Sure, they make lots of my old EPs obsolete but I'm cool with that, since they kinda SOUND like 20+ year old 45s...

Well, that sounds pretty interesting. I always liked "The Sound of the Crowd." I wonder how and why they decide to reissue stuff like this and why it takes so long to do. Any ideas?

I so need these reissues, even if they will remind me of the horror of being in a karaoke bar in Indy and seeing someone fail miserably in an attempt to do The Lebanon.
