I just read this somewhere. Hugh Morrus might be facing Goldust for the Hardcore title at WrestleMania. Personally, I wouldn't mind if this match were like the second or third match on the card. I'll say this, if Morrus does show up on RAW, and there's a strong possibility he might, expect him to go after Goldust. I think Hugh would make a better Hardcore champ than (inhales very deeply) sssss.......Goldust.
Shit why not bring both back, throw someone else in there and have another stupid ass "who can get the most pins" contest. Couldn't be any worse than the rest of the undercard for Wrestlemania.
Damn, I must be the only guy who's looking forward to Manai. Edge/Booker will be a good match, as will Kane/Angle. Hall/Austin could be good, and HHH/Jericho should rule. And Rock/Hogan, while not a good pure wrestling match, is a historical match most definitely. The Taker/Flair buildup means I'll be enjoying that, too.
Onto the original post. That does most definitely sound like BS. Why would the fed bring back Hugh Morrus one week before Mania to throw him into a pointless match with Goldust?
Well for that matter, why bring back Goldust in the first place?

Because Goldust has some name value to WWF fans and can wrestle better than Hugh Morrus. And he's not being brought back the week before a huge event to be inserted into a heatless match (no comments about the Rumble-that had heat ;)). Name one thing Hugh Morrus did that was worthwhile in the WWF.

I would rather see X-Pac wrestle 5 times a night than a lot of the WWF's roster.

Caring is the first step towards disappointment.
What? Goldust has been a total flop. You can hear a pin drop during, the latest "Goldust Production". It just has not worked. The current audience doesn't give a flip about Goldust and most of the ones that remember him are wishing he would just go away. I know I feel like that. I wich Mr. Perfect was not there. It is cool for a Royal Rumble appearance, but why have him on the roster? I didn't see Hillbilly Jim on the roster after last year's WM. And Jim looked in better shape than Mr. Perfect and Goldust combined.
Going to get all these old stars (Perfect, Goldust, NWO) shows how not making new main eventers when they had the chance has really hurt the product. I hate to keep bringing up Invasion, but if they had handled that better, they would be sitting on easy street right now. Hell, if they handled the NWO better, they wouldn't be trying to dig up Andre the Giant to main event a RAW.

I sure as hell can't defend Dusty Jr. but your nuts if you can't see that Hennig is in as great a shape as he's ever been. And BTW the lack of pushing new stars hurt the product but the fact that the product sucks like it does hurts it a little more.

I bet yer real proud to be a part of an assumed majority.
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME..if the ASPCA knows about these Government Mules that JR refers to. Apparently, these poor animals are subjected to awful beatings that are akin to being thrown into steel steps or having their heads smashed against wooden announce tables.br> Michaelangelo
Yeah Lexus, I am proud to be in the assumed majority who actually knows what is entertaining. I am not wearing smark-colored glasses that tells me that I must like Goldust's return only because the marks in the arenas go completely silent when the gold glitter starts falling.

I don't care about the Goldust gimmick, I just like people who can work a match. The Hardcore title doesn't seem right for Goldust, though I like those gold painted garbage cans.
"No one has a beer party at Scott Hall's expense!"
I honestly hope Goldust drops the title to Al Snow tonight on Raw. I feel the WWF dropped the ball after the first Tough Enough when Al Snow gained some well deserved recognition. Instead they stuck him on Heat. I hope as TE 2 airs he wins the Hardcore title and feud with Hardcore Holly (if he's able). At least there is some type of storyline that the writers wouldn't have to scratch their heads coming up with an idea for.
I for one, have been very entertained by the different style that Goldust puts out there.
What specifically don't you like? He works at a fast pace, he has some unique moves, his selling is middle of the road, and he isnt unbelievable when he mounts offense. I thought that his hardcore title win over Maven was great - that kind of psych move is something that they could really work with for the Goldust character.
I also am a pretty big Hugh Morris fan. I like him for what he is - a pretty big guy who will job to anyone. He hasn't really been more than a jobber+ in the WWF, but I don't hear anything about Hugh having a bad attitude or being a cancer. Hell, he took on the Hugh G Rection gimmick in WCW... the wrestling world owes him for going through that.
Hugh has a believable offense, good selling, he works quickly - again - isnt this what you want to see? Do you really find it hard to suspend disbelief that Hugh couldn't pull out the win when he's out there? He's not the fastest big man, but he's not on the level of bad that Kronik was.
I never understand why everyone is so down on the Big wrestlers.
I'd agree, everyone goes ga-ga over the cruiserweights (often very deservedly) but dislike the big guys like Morrus, Kane and Albert.
On the other hand, why is Vince reportedly so high on getting large guys to wrestle?
"Oh! The light! [pointing to the setting sun] Blackness comes when the light goes away!" "Yeah, but this is getting to be a pretty regular thing." "I don't care. It still scares the sh*t out of me."
I agree with Bulldog... Jericho its right now the strongest contender fot the World Title... i like the idea of the "taking over" spot in Evolution... but pleaseeee No more HHH championship feud...
