Really sad especially the way he got them to play last season. Mike Fratello is rumored to be the favorite for the job. Best wishes to Hubie and his family.
Damn. Well, I know he wouldn't have coached past this season anyway. Just sad he couldn't finish out the year.
I'd like to see Fratello come on board, but wasn't he the coach when the Cavs played that boring style of play? Maybe he'll teach the Grizz to play some D.

He did indeed coach the Cavs and had the most vicious D west of New York at the time. However, that's all he had going for him with the Cavs. They had zero star power, so their only hope to win games was to slllloooooooooow the game down and play intense, suffocating defense.
(I give thanks nightly for Mr. James and the Cavaliers renaissance. Ahhhhhhh... refreshing. )

Finally the Mavericks won a game last night. You may remember that last year during the championship series, I came on as the Dallas blowhard that said there was no way that Dallas could lose 4 in a row, the parade was already planned, yada yada yada.
