He did indeed coach the Cavs and had the most vicious D west of New York at the time. However, that's all he had going for him with the Cavs. They had zero star power, so their only hope to win games was to slllloooooooooow the game down and play intense, suffocating defense.

He either never lived up to the billing of a true second banana or never found the right team where he could play third banana. He played in a lot of small markets, but I still always expected more out of him.
