Close your eyes and picture this for Hogan's entrance on Sunday...

"Real American" starts blaring, and the Skydome erupts. The song is playing to a video showing all Hogan red-and-yellow memories. After a minute or so, the "NWO black and white-o-vision" takes over the video and then "Voodoo Child" takes over for "Real American." The video is now showing all black-and-white highlights. Hogan comes out and gets probably the loudest ovation of his career (well, definitely *one* of the loudest).

That would rock. Too bad Vince was too cheap to spring for the "Voodoo Chili".
Or to, ya know, promote the NWO angle.

Voodoo Chili?

Anyway, how do you know Vince is too cheap to buy the music? I remember hearing something during WCW's heyday that the cost of the rights to use that song was somewhere around $20,000. Maybe that's wrong and someone can correct me, but why spend that anything close to that kind of money for an entrance theme? If they already own the NWO porno theme and can use it for free and accomplish the same purpose--getting Hogan to the ring--why even spend $100 when you don't have to?

Or, maybe since Hogan has come to the ring by himself like the one time--the first night of the NWO on Raw, in fact...the WWF has actually had no opportunity to give Hogan a solo entrance theme.

You just don't know...its best to not make such bold statements when there equally or more probable alternative explanations.

And Vince not promoting the NWO angle isn't cheap...its bad writing.

Voodoo Chili is an old WCW reference....has it really been that long?

Why spend that much money? It's called production values, sport. And popping the crowd. Which the old Hogan music would do.

I'd bet you a fiver that Hogan comes out to the porno music at Wrestlemania.

If Vince wasn't so cheap, he'd hire better writers. ;-) It's all about the Benjis.

I'm not proposing Vince go on a Bischoff-esque spending spree, but tossing a few extra dollars around to improve the product couldn't hurt anything. God knows there's (practically) nowhere to go but up.

According to Brock's agent, he is not going to return to the WWF. Brock is going to continue to try to make it in the NFL by going to NFL Europe this winter and then trying to make it with the Vikings next season.
