When I had Win98, all I had to do was go to one of those free fonts websites, download a bunch of zipped truetype font files, dump them all into the C:/WINDOWS/FONTS folder and *POOF*, I had new fonts.
But XP wont let you add files to their FONTS folder, so how do you add new fonts to XP????

Did you keep the files zipped? I don't see why that would work in Win98, but you are supposed to stick them in Windows/Fonts. I just made a shortcut to there, put it in the Send To menu (Documents and Settings/(whatever name you're using or All Users)/SendTo) and use that to install 'em. Same thing with wallpapers and themes because I don't remember where they're supposed to go either.

Just go to Start > Run and type in C:\Windows\Fonts and it will open the folder. You should be able to drop them in there like that.
For some reason, when you navigate to the folder through My Computer, it gives you that other menu which is useless (to me.)
