I use this thing all the time. I'll read some funny or thought-provoking quote and want to see the whole conversation, so I'll click. Then one of two things will happen: The thread will make me want to read more about some related thing from that time (this usually happens in sports); or I'll see some other quote I want to check out on the new thread. Before I know it, I've spent 30 or 40 minutes reading old threads.

I think it's a great feature.

Once in a great while I notice one - but it has been awhile since I clicked on one.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

Pretty much exactly what you said. I mean, how can you see this:

STOP. PLEASE. STOP. STOP. I AM BEGGING YOU TO STOP. - CRZ

And NOT click on it?

Love it.

A lot of times I'll see a bizarre out of context quote (TM - drjay) on it and follow the link through to read the whole thread and before you know it you've lost 15 minutes of your life.

It's fun to see how things have changed over the years (a quote from a thread about Obama saying he wouldn't run for President popped up half way through the primaries for example) and other times to see how some things stay the same no matter what.

Of course I also have to read some old posts from myself which make me cringe at the inane arguments I'd get involved in and what a tool I could be (insert your own "could be?!" joke) but it's a price worth paying for a nifty feature.

I use it every time I see a decent quote. It's fun to go go back and look at what people said about things with 20/20 hindsight, especially about sports and wrestling.

I do exactly the same thing. I find news and speculation about upcoming movies which have now been in and out of theaters or even on DVD are the most interesting.

I want to know the exact number of anti-HHH threads from 2002/3, because it seems like every other quote I see is from one of them.

Lemme guess - TopTenPro? God, I miss that guy.

Edit: Damn, I was wrong. But it wasn't THAT bad of a guess.
