Is it really a cancellation if all the House people wanted to finish it? I guess so, if it ultimately isn't their call and Fox had to sign off on letting it end.
I'm glad it's ending because it's been troubled since, when? Amber's death? Kutner's suicide? Chase killed Dictator Earl Jones? Basically whenever House and Cuddy became a thing, I guess. But this year has been a lot better, climbing out of the wreckage of that relationship and the house he drove in on.
Time flies. I remember when House and The Office were the great, fresh new shows that had bolstered my TV lineup.
I hope for the finale they assemble ALL FOUR CAMERONS (Cameron, 13, Joan of Arcadia, Odette Annable Yustman)
House offing 13 will probably be the finale episode, and the reason he finally goes to jail for good. It's been an up or down ride the past few seasons, but the big "he never really was with Cuddy" reveal and the ensuing psych admission was when it went too far. This season has been pretty good so far, so at least it seems they'll go out on a high note.
This season has been good, but I'm glad they're going out now. I wouldn't have been sad if LAST season was their final one. As for NBC, that was a thought last season if FOX cancelled it, but the story Cerebus linked to pretty much rules that out, predictably, because the show at this point is just too expensive.

I was never really a big House guy, only watching maybe a dozen episodes over the years, but even still, it's hard to not acknowledge Hugh Laurie's awesome performance and the great interplay between he and Wilson. Though it seems like the show should have probably called it quits a couple of years ago, it's good to see they're ending it with still a bit of powder in their gun, as opposed to some shows (hint hint Office).
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball
This season as been AWFUL. I know a lot of people hated the Cuddy relationship, but at least it moved things FORWARD. Where are we now? Back to House being an ass, back on Vicidin, almost no Wilson, and the worst team since the show started.

Awesome idea. I think that he'll die somehow, since the show never has been or ever will be about happy endings. I think I caught something in the season premiere that may have foreshadowed his undoing. The guy he was trying to get the 20 vicodin for warned him he had friends on the outside that would get House if he screwed him over, which of course, he did. I can imagine something coming up in the finale where said outside friend would kill House. As long as it doesn't lead to a sappy funeral scene where everyone comes back and says what a great guy he was, I'll be fine if they kill him off, no matter how they do it.
Before I go into the review, I'll let you know a bit of why I was intrigued by the premise. I worked as a PA for a pro poker player for 6 months and had the benefit of attending a private day of instruction ($15k)
