I never heard anything about his arrest, so this came as a shock to me.

Wrestler-turned-actor 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper is facing up to six months behind bars after he was charged with driving under the influence (DUI).

The semi-retired grappler, real name Roderick Toombs, was arrested in Hollywood on 2 July after failing a field sobriety test.

According to TMZ.com, the Los Angeles City Attorney has now filed a misdemeanour count of DUI against Piper, as well as one count of driving without a valid licence.

If convicted, the 55 year old could be sentenced to jail time and subjected to a $1,000 (£665) fine.

Guess he doesn't feel as funny anymore about those designated driver jokes he told Santino.

Wow.

A wrestler was arrested outside of Tampa.

Either way, if it turns out that the Judge is from Fiji, Hot Rod is toast.

NO. Prior bad acts cannot be admitted into evidence, or considered in sentencing.

A wise Fijian judge would make a better decision than you

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

AND you're a sheriff.

I'm pretty sure "prior bad acts" can be considered in sentencing, at least insofar as leniency might be shown to a first-time offender but not to a repeat offender.

Well, they can't be the primary or the mitigating factor in sentencing. Prior bad acts can be A reason, but not THE reason, if that makes sense.

I guess it is impossible to say where they would have ended up had they stayed at WCW, but I think it is pretty much undeniable that Guerrero, Benoit, and Jericho ended up higher up on the card at WWE than they ever were at WCW.
