| #22 Posted on 29.1.02 1443.18 | Being a Carolina resident I'll just post some on this topic. It was said before. The people of Charlotte hate the owner. This is Basketball Country. We have the ACC right here, and there are plenty of people in Charlotte who would go to the Hornets games, but the owner (Shinn?) has basically alienated the whole city. It's been suggested to him several times to sell the team, and the fans will go back, but he keeps refusing, and saying he'd rather move than give up his team. Just my 2 cents

The New Orleans Jazz conjures up memories of Pistol Pete Maravich, and that's got to be good. (Ok, I don't have those memories, but I'm sure some people do.)
