Did I read this correctly from The Examiner article?

Dustin Diamond, ''Screech'' from NBC's "Saved by the Bell," has become a pro wrestler in the Great Lakes area.

There were fans clamoring for this? This sounded like a good idea to whom?

Well it's probably the only gig the poor sap can get...

Atleast Slater as the Pansy Half...I mean Other Half or whatever that show is called.

I always did consider when Screech turned on Zach the ultimate heel turn. I mean really! Who saw that coming!?

Actually Zac was a preppy, obnoxious, back stabbing jerk, so even though they tried pushing him down our throat as the face he was actually a heel. I think most people popped big for Screech when he finally turned Zac.

It was like when Eddy was bossing Chavo around, we all knew that eventually Chavo would fight back, we just didn't know when. So finally Screech/Chavo fought back and became a face. Unfortunately for both of them thier push didn't last long. I think Chavo ended up fueding with Stevie Ray and Screech ended up jobbing to that bicycle chick.

Actually, back when the WWF had the devolpmental territory in Memphis and the Kat and Lawler were down there, they did a TV angle where the Kat teased kissing Screech a couple times, then right before she was going to do it he got beat down.

He's obviously a big fan, and maybe it's tough to get other acting gigs when you're Screech.

That was years out of the Family Matters limelight - and maybe he could easier change his look?

Or maybe Dustin Diamond is too good for UPN.

Screech was also in the crowd at WrestleMania 2000.

But who cares. It's Screech.

The only one from that first cast who did anything worthwhile was the chic who made the movie about strippers, because GRATUITOUS NUDITY == FAMILY FUN!!!

I gotta check that movie out and masturwank.

When he was Urkel, he was dressed up in thick glasses and suspenders.

As he is now, he's lost all that and honestly, when he's not dressed like Urkel he DOESN'T look like a moron.

Whereas Screech is Screech, no matter what. He's tall, wiry, with a 'fro!

Not to mention the fact he played Screech for damn near 12 years if you include Saved By The Bell: The NEW Class.

I'd love to watch him take a beating like Will Sasso did on Nitro a few years ago though.

I always was much more of a Kelly Kapowki mark, but if you're into Elizabeth Berkeley, I suggest you check out "Any Given Sunday" on DVD and make copious use of the pause button.

Note: I do not have a DVD player. Although I might consider getting one if Kelly Kapowski does a similar scene.

    Isn't the Examiner a tabloid?

Jesus, man, we have got some SERIOUS problems here if it is.

On a side note, I never watched Saved by the Bell based on general principal.

You all talk as though his career had come to a standstill, but that's clearly not the case. They don't give out gigs like this to just anybody in show biz. Only a true star can be The Gamester.

Holy crap, the Gamester. From beginner to master level in 4 hours? LOL

Maybe he'll put out a video on pro wrestling in the same series -- "from jobber to world champion in 4 hours"?

    You'd think he'd at least have a cooler web page . . .

Done and done, sir. In fact, Any Given Sunday was the first movie I ever rented on DVD.

And I mean talk about a poor girl who's typecast. She only gets to play whores and strippers... wait, I mean GREAT IDEA~!
