What IS up witdat?? Something like this wouldn't exactly pop to mind as likely. Hurricane gaining the "veteran's ego" is kinda amusing.
EDIT: I am so fucking stupid for misreading that and thinking it was Rosey(AND putting Storm's name in there!). I was busy with something else when I posted this but this was really a stupid thing to do. My mind is all over the place. Anyway, pay no mind..less thread posting for me, lol.
Oh, and I'm not denying that 'Cane's a veteran, I'm just a little surprised at his behavior

(edited by darkmatcher on 16.9.03 2216) what you say

Yes, he is. But he's hardly a veteran who has achieved the success by which he can tell a Rodney Mack that "no, we're going to do it my way". Kurt Angle can pull that. The Rock can do that. Like them or not, Undertaker or HHH can do that. Hurricane, as much as I like him as both a character and a worker, has not earned that right.

Wait but isn't the fact that he has 12 years in the business more important then whether or not he is as over as Undertaker or HHH? I would think backstage he would have the right to say to someone who has less experience then him how to lay out the match. Now if he told Taker or HHH then we can say the boy has lost his mind.

I'm amazed that Helms got sent to the hospital. Especially after I remembered that Helms is the one who coldcocked Buff Bagwell.
If, when all is said and done, Hurricane gets released while Mack gets a slap on the wrist, I'm swearing off Raw for good.

LS: You're sure going into the women's locker room will get us on TV? GD: Absolutely! And if it doesn't, I've got Max Mini ready to come out of retirement. HE'LL get us on Raw! Nothing spells ratings like MIDGETS!
I'm sure this couldn't possibly be related to the Shelton Benjamin/Bradshaw incident or Vince stopping a match in the middle to hasten the beginning of the bikini contest or Christian beating Booker T for the Intercontintal title. Good to see we have some experts on how the backstage area should be run and who should have what status, however. Though I suppose with all those hardcore facts in the 411 story, it's pretty much clear cut who was at fault.

I guess you and Rodney Mack feel the same way. :)
Hey, I Back The Mack.
I'm not saying it's a question of who is more over. I'm not saying Helms doesn't have a place helping lay out matches if he's 12 years in. What I am saying is that he hasn't earned a position to tell other guys to keep their ideas to themselves. Just because Mack doesn't have as much time in doesn't mean he has nothing to contribute. And it's not as if that night was Mack's first day in the business. He's been in WWE for almost a year, was in OVW for a couple years before that, and you would have to assume he was wrestling somewhere even before that. I was glad to hear Helms took a shot at Bagwell, but it sounds like he deserved a smack back this time.
Before we all start picking sides in this fight, we should probably know more information, none of which was posted in the above article. What were Mack's ideas that Helms was shooting down? For all we know, they could have been legitimately good ideas that Helms was rejecting simply because they weren't his own. Or they could have been completely stupid ideas that anyone who's been in the business as long as Mack as should know not to suggest, and Helms was pulling rank because he legitimately knew better. Second, we don't know how the disagreement escalated into a fight. Did Hemls put down Mack and his experience by acting arrogant and insulting him, or did Mack misinterpret Helms' wisdom and get all snippy because this tiny punk kid is holding him down? Without those vital facts, its not clear who is at fault.
All we know for sure is that we don't know anything for sure.
BigVitoMark, how do you know that Rodney Mack wasn't suggesting that he get to completely dominate Hurricane and Rosey and that Hurricane & Rosey only win because Mark Henry accidentally hit Rodney Mack or something equally ludicrous?
I'm curious, though, was Dreamer & Richards scheduled to face Jindrak & Cade originally? And when did Dreamer turn heel, anyway? Dreamer vs. Richards would make a lot more sense to me.

I dunno, it's probably just another case of Rodney Mack being held down by the man. Can't blame him for being upset about that. Belie'dat!
The wrestling business is a tough place. Some level of repsect has to be shown and if lines are crossed this crap happens. Mack hasn't been wrestling as long as Hurricane. If I was a fly on the wall I would have been shaking my head to let ole Helms do just about anything he wished. You've got Henry who's been in it 6 or 8 years, Mack 4 some odd years and Rosey 2 some years. That would leave Helms to lead/plan the match.

This is getting annoying now isn't it?
Banned Once! The independant thought alarm went off, knew to much about b*tching.
Well, I've worked 2 years in a place where a lot of people I've worked with have been there 3 or 4 years. You show people with more experience than you respect regardless of their skills...to a certain extent. It's respect to the fact that they've stuck with it regardless of the cost. Hurricane should be respected by the boys because he's stuck with the business for 12 years. He should also respect Mack for the fact he's made it to the Show. Beyond that, it's just a matter of people getting along (or in this case...not).
My Calgary Flames are currently tied for first place overall with a record of 0-0-0-0. It's training camp, but it's a start, right?
The Hardys and Helms both came from OMEGA, right? If you read the interview with Perry Saturn on thesmartmarks.com, he says that he (and, he implies, the rest of The Radicalz) did not like fighting the Hardys because Matt wanted to completely plan out the entire match, allowing little room for improvisation. Might have been the same deal here.

The Hardyz also imply they weren't crazed about working with Benoit and the Radicalz in their book. Matt doesn't explain but I had the impression it was more about being stiff and evil mofos.
As for this fight. Wow..Hurricane to the hospital. Guess he was out of Hurri-powers. :)
This is one time Hurricane probably wishes he had Rosie with him in real life. Had Rosie or Henry been there too the fight most likely wouldn't have happened. And Hurricane does have balls for going up aganist a guy who outweighs him by 80 pounds or so.
Probably doesn't show much level of maturity on either's part. Two grown men ought to be able to plan a match without it coming to blows. And though eventually there has to be an agreement, I see nothing wrong with Mack offering his ideas for the match, regardless of experience.
Everything that is wrong in this world can be blamed on Freddie Prinze Jr.
Agreed. If Chris Benoit can get along in some of the shitty situations he's been put in with pulling rank, then 'Cane has no business doing it either. Even if Mack's ideas were kinda shitty (and I'm sure they weren't bad enough to fight over), humoring him a little would've been a lot better way of handling it.

You people honestly don't realize how completely ignorant a majority of you sound, do you? It's no wonder Vince and friends think the Internet fans are a joke...
