hrm.. true dat, I guess I was just overcome by the thought of Hulk Hogan jobbing to Orton.

...so yeah, he really did throw out his good knee stepping off a couch, in which case my point remains that he is unfit to wrestle. It may have been because that last time on RAW he actually brought the big boot all the way up (roll the footage)

Here's some hot new videos of Hogan "rehabbing" his knee injury with Pikachu in New York.

I heard that he was dancing pretty good on Regis and Kelly yesterday morning.

I have a contact in the WWE PR dept,(I apologize, that sounds so very douchey, but I do.) and he's saying it's jobitis.

Forgive my skepticism, but why would a WWE PR person be in a position to know this? If this really were the case (and I'm not saying it's not, nor am I saying I think it is), seems like something that would be between Hogan, Vince/ maybe a couple other guys in creative and MAYBE Orton, and anything beyond that is just third-person heresy.

I would not be a bit surprised if the individuals on the team from your area were sexually attracted to members of their own gender. That is how ineffective they are on the field of battle.

Plus Hogan has creative control over all his everything. I mean, Vince could pester him about losing, but Hogan wouldn't really need to fake a knee injury to get out of it. Of course, he hasn't gotten out of it yet, he could just be playing the game to screw with Vince.

Even then, I find it hard to believe that Hogan would mess with his last bona fide meal ticket for no real reason. What's to be gained from this, if it is a stunt on his part? He looks stupid for tearing his knee whilst getting out of a chair, Orton gets to gloat about how old he is, and if he carries it through and drops out of SummerSlam he misses a payday and looks foolish. There's no reason for him to be screwing around on this.

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

Well, even if he can't make the date for SummerSlam, he already got some more publicity for his daughter's career.

It could also be as simple as Hogan didn't want to be in Memphis on Monday Night and New York on Tuesday morning, and thus the knee was a convenient excuse.

Hogan looks like an old fool anyway....on Regis, he actually made a point to tell the world he hurt himself getting up from a chair. So apparently he's not too worried how it makes him look.

People, including the talent, talk.

Also, I just read in the Figure 4 weekly that Monday just happened to be drug testing day for Raw.

Immaterial in the end, I guess: Hogan on WWE.com said he's doing the match.

This may sound like a stupid question, but would he actually be subject to it? Not being full-time and all?

The story is that everyone was tested, so you'd think they would have wanted Hogan there - or they didn't want him there so they wouldn't have to deal with that problem.

Maybe the show was completely and seemlessly rewritten after the injury, but what was Hogan going to do on Monday anyway? The Orton/Lawler finish goes down the same way. Do a promo? Help Lawler run off Orton post match?

He has a contract, so I'd imagine he is. If you can actually call it a contract, that is. More of a piece of paper that says "You can come in and boost your ego by going over 4 of our young guys who could do with the rub a year. And we'll pay you extortionate amounts of money to do it".

yes Spank, and the guys will love it.

I guess we'll have to wait for Summerslam in any case...

Isn't this: www.hulksgrill.com bonafide?
----------

I cant believe Lawler laid down clean-ish to Orton in Memphis. Orton should still be on punishment.

To quote Jerry's cousin "there are a million finishes and in the middle ain't one of them".

A friend of mine has one, and from what he says about it and what I've seen myself, it really does look like it is superior to any of the other similar grills. The waffle iron plates are particularly awesome.

Ken Kennedy debuted a new finisher: Jeff Hardy fans will insist on calling it the Swanton Bomb, but it looks WAY more devastating when not performed by a 180-pound fruitcake.

Is it wrong that I was expecting this to be a site about Hogan-endorsed mouth jewelry?

I guess WWE isn't worried about the heir to the throne then, since they have repeatedly shown the much-younger Triple H pretty much just walking across the ring, yet managing to tear his quad.

Non-issue.
