What an odd story altogether. Glad he gets "justice".

Apparently the consensus is that he's going to job to Gawker on appeal. No idea why, although the tricky thing is that according to Florida law, Gawker has to put up the $115M award before they can appeal, which is probably going to be a problem.

So, this is what it's like when a bunch of shitty people have their world's collide.

I never saw the video. Was it any good?

There were a whole bunch of transcripts and documents about the tapes which suggested Hogan was aware he was being taped which might impact the case, but were not released until the jury was making their decision because of the judge's decision. There's enough there that another judge might feel differently.

Gawker's profits are estimated to be between $1 to $2 million/year, according to Wikipedia. I doubt they have $115 million lying around.

If this puts Gawker out of business, I think I can forgive Hogan for all the shitty matches I've sat through because of him.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Let's not get carried away here. I, for one, still think Sting got the shaft at Starrcade '97.

I am not so worried about gawker.com going goodbye, but I'd be sad if (and this is probably the case) io9 and Lifehacker disappear as well as a result.

Hogan got awarded an extra $25 million in punitive damages today, so now Hulkamania's total winnings are up to $130 million.

Now that the courts have ruled that Hogan Still Rules, I hope he makes a speedy return to the Impact zone.

And Linda won't get a dime of it. Unless she somehow claims hulk didn't pay her the full amount yet.

Interestingly, Bradshaw mention Hogan on last night's raw.
