Originally posted by Big GThe scuttlebutt on the night was that as ticket sales had been very poor, Ticket master had been offering floor seats for $100AUD, free upgrades and buy 1 get 1 free deals, so I got screwed on ticket prices, but oh well. Makes me worry a bit about the rest of the tour. If they've struggled to sell tickets in Melbourne, they'll probably really struggle elsewhere.
Regarding the attendance, if Hogan was booking smartly instead of via ego, he would've had Ric Flair pulled the upset on the first day of the tour. Then -- before an Australian press the apparently doesn't fully understand kayfabe -- Hogan should announce that because of the loss, he's starting to doubt himself, and if he loses the next match, he'll immediately retire. Something like that. Give the next show a sense of urgency & something for the local press to write about.
(It's Monday, and I'm fantasy booking for senior citizens. Am I totally AWESOME AND COOL of what?! Please don't answer that.)
Good Grief. See that's why I hate statistics. You can make them say whatever you like. There's only one winner of the 30 man rumble that entered anywhere in the teens and yet a teen number is what the average is? Having people earn the 30 spot?
