| #21 Posted on 30.6.03 1902.16 | | Jeez, since I've bought tickets to the Smackdown! taping for tomorrow in Rochester and in the span of one week, Piper and Hogan are out and off of Smackdown. I know they're pretty much worthless on TV, but I was looking forward to watching them live. | BigDaddyLoco

| #22 Posted on 30.6.03 1916.40 | Hogan may be gone, but we can still cheer Mr. America ... right?
I agree that he'll be back in time for WM XX along with a band of his goons. His character has been dominating Smackdown for awhile now so who knows what he's bitching about.

| #24 Posted on 1.7.03 1228.31 | I guess that explains Hogan hugging Lesnar and Angle before their six-man tag match on Smackdown. I was wondering why they did that.

| #25 Posted on 1.7.03 1235.01 | This whole shebang pretty much flushes away any goodwill I'd built up towards Hogan during this final run. Not only does he bail during the middle of an (admittedly shitty) angle, but the reasons he gives are the same egomaniacal bullshit he's been spinning for years. He feels he's worthy of the title? he feels that Lesnar and Angle should've improvised last week to make him the star of the tag match? He feels he should be the marquee attraction? Aged 50 or whatever the fuck he is? Christ, he hasn't changed a bit. I hope he sits at home and never, EVER thinks about coming back. The fact that Vince wasn't willing to cave to his demands makes me feel so much better about WWE's future. Maybe he's in total control after all.

| #26 Posted on 1.7.03 1247.14 | Considering my paranoia at all things involving Hogan and Vince (and it has been justified through the years), a conspiracy theory:
For the first time while flipping the channels after RAW, I saw the cable company airing a commercial hyping NWA-TNA. Realistically, Vince can't acknowledge their existance, as that would prove they actually are a threat. However, could it be possible he has a wink-wink/nudge-nudge agreement with Hogan where he funnels money towards the XWF (as he did with Heyman and ECW) in order to be the alternative to the WWF/E? Have the XWF start running PPV's opposite the NWA, with guys like Hogan, Piper, Hall etc. and cause the cable systems to decide which to air. Naturally, they'd choose the product with the household names, thus killing the NWA before they become a serious threat. Then, Vince in a 'magnimous gesture', purchases the XWF and restarts InVasion '04 to coincide with Mania XX. Sure, it might be far-fetched, but Hogan and Piper being let go in the same week is very suspicious.

| #30 Posted on 1.7.03 2357.29 | I haven't seen any SD! spoilers yet but 411 says Hogan has been written into the show tonight. [Edit: Ha ha. He was written in to be written out.]
The stuff about Hogan wanting the title and his partners to tag him in... who told 1wrestling? For all we know it could be Piper spreading rumors.
