From 1Wrestling:

I just heard from Brian Fritz that Hulk Hogan's future with WWE is in jeopardy. Hogan was on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show this morning and Fritz's "Between The Ropes" cohort Dickerman heard the interview. In it, Hogan said that his Hulk Hogan character is done with WWE and Mr. America is now on hiatus. He added that he thought Mr. America was done with WWE as well. Hogan implied that the creative direction was the reason why he was considering not going back to the company. Bubba asked him if Triple H's backstage power had anything to do with Hogan's feelings and Hogan stayed away from using that as a reason. Hogan added that at this point, he would like to work some matches in Japan.

I this just Hogan working Bubba like he seems to love doing for some reason, or is this for real? Wouldn't it be odd that both Hogan and Piper's last appearance on TV would be clean jobs on the same show?

If he'd said it to anybody but Bubba, I'd say it's probably legit. Unfortunately he DID say it to Bubba, so who knows. Not that 1Bob LEAPING on the "story" helps it pass the smell test any. ;-)

My guess is, if true we'll hear something in the next 24 hours (ie someone will leak something to Meltz or Wade) and at the latest we'd get an indication from how it'd be mentioned - or not - during the "SmackDown!" taping.

One more thing to consider - there isn't one of those cryptic WWE.com statements about Terry Bollea up. You'd think they'd WANT to get the upper hand on announcing something about Hogan before Hogan did... Ooh, but there IS a great story about referee Dick Kroll! Go read that! (wwe.com)

I've gotta agree there... any statements he makes to Bubba carry as much legitimacy as a Mean Gene hotline update ("We've just received word that a former WWF champion is FED UP with that company and in talks to join WCW. Who is he? I can't say on tv, but CALL ME ON THE HOTLINE...")

Anyways, hopefully its just another tiff in their relationship that will get ironed out soon. I enjoy the Mr. America angle, I just wish it wasn't the ONLY storyline on SmackDown right now. As a mid-card comedy angle, it would be funny and harmless enough.

I just can't help but think that Hogan can't stand that his old rival Piper is getting more publicity than him, because its gotta be about Hulk Hogan 24-7.... Seriously, I'm surprised he didn't try to leech off all the Hollywood publicity for The Hulk movie. ("I'd kick the ass of the overstuffed green dude, that Hulk Hogan wannabe... brother!")

Wonder what happens to Zack Gowen now? Hogan, for Pete's sake, WHAT ABOUT ZACK???????

Alright! Hogan in K-1! This is gonna be great!

The Hogan radio interview of last week that was passed around a bit seemed to imply he felt he was more over with the MSG crowd then Brock and Angle, and should be getting the belt as a result, but that's not what creative had in mind. I'd guess this is a powerplay in that direction.

Edit: They already moved Zach on to Stephanie, haven't they?

They already fell for that trick once...believe it or not, I think they only needed to get burned ONCE this time to learn their lesson!

Well, its getting to that time of year where Hogan takes his 6 month vacation, thus allowing him to come out of nowhere to save the company right before Mania XX.

Hogan has seen the light with the arrival of Ultimo Dragon. He will train in Japan to become the heavyweight cruiserweight, Mega Dragon Brother, return to the WWE and run wild on Kidman on mo' time.

And he will speak in formal Japanese-English: "What action will you seek, son of my father, when the mammoth 27-inch dragons stampede amok upon you?!"

LOL!!!

It'd never happen, but as a brief angle it would actually be downright hilarious.

Wade and Meltzer have both hit the story now, so I'll buy it I guess. I'm sure he'll come back eventually...he always does.

All that airtime on Mr. America and he's just gone like that without a payoff. I would be happy if I didn't think that all Hogan's airtime is going to go to Stephanie.

And so begins the Summer of Steph (and Fall, Winter, Spring...)

We will see tomorrow, but can you imagine Smackdown without Hogan and Piper now. They lose part of the all encompassing McMahon angle and one of the better segments on the show. Of course, in Vince's mind it mean mores time for his story to be told. Instead of doing more than one cruiserweight match on the show, building tag teams espically with Piper/O'Haire done, Benoit/Rhyno or God forbid, a graphic of the US title tournament. I guess we have to wait and see. The sad thing is I was starting to like Hogan again. I don't know if its because he is nowhere near the belt or the fact that Mr.America has been a really fun gimmick.

Confirmed by Da Meltz:

To confirm what is already out there, Hulk Hogan was on Bubba the Love Sponge and basically said he's done with WWE over creative differences. The split is effective immediately. I don't believe WWE has posted anything on this as of yet and I believe this is because they were hoping for a reconciliation after Hogan first told the company he was done after the MSG show on Tuesday night. Hogan had done a radio interview a few days ago in Detroit where he was negative about the direction of things (the one about Vince and his hair), but I figured that was just to build up an angle, but he had already decided by that point he was done. I think he wanted to give Bubba the first story on it.

Well, Meltzer's confirmed it, so I guess it's official. YAAAAAAY! All they have to do now is get rid of Nash and Hunter and they'll be all set! And yes, I know that will never happen (well, the Hunter part, at least).

We all know waht this means......

"In a world where children are left alone too much, because of their parents heavy work schedule, there is one person who can save them from the scum of the world, the dirty internet sites, the gangs on the streets, and drugs and booze, that man is Mr. Nanny! Coming in summer 2004 from New Line Cinemas, Hulk Hogan is Mr. Nanny in "Mr. Nanny 2:Mr. Nanny Does New York!"

When I first saw the story, I thought the exact same thing. There's still nothing on the WWF website, so never say never with Hogan.
