I'd like to share a post I made to another forum late last year.

Hulk Hogan is a bloody arsehole! Always calling people his brother.

Knows maybe 1 or 2 wrestling holds. Tells kids to take vitimins but doesn't mention his "vitimins" are steroids. Misses moves by a mile and the poor sap he's fighting has to sell it. The announcers gush like little school girls in love or at an N'Sync concert. Nothing is scarier than seeing a guy in his mid-forties dressed in suit gushing over another 40-year old man in yellow underpants. Hulk was a backstabbing SOB who used office politics to shut out younger talent ( Hogan doesn't fit under the term "talent" ). He lies through his teeth at every news interview. He still thinks pro wrestling is real ( in other words, he thinks his wins were legit as opposed to predetermined ). He is always in "wrestling mold", never stepping out of character. Come on, I mean, does Danny Devito go around acting like Louie Depalma or The Penguin 24/7? Hulk Hogan had the audacity to show up at Owen Hart's funeral in costume whereas every other wrestler who attended dressed like normal people who were paying their last respects. Hogan came in a limo and posed with cameramen and gave his usual wrestling promo interview AT A FUNERAL. Not a wrestling angle or show. A REAL PERSON WAS DEAD and Hogan was posturing for news cameras. Hogan acts like he is God and the people around him throughout his career both onscreen and offscreen fawn over him like he's the Savior. Hogan is an annoying bastard and I'm glad I don't have to see ( as Dusty Rhodes put it once ) his "ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly, ugly ugly, ugly, ugly ugly mug week after week flapping his jaws. Cheerio, friends.

And a response to some moronic Hulkamanic who calls himself "The Kid" ( who copies off the Rock and refers to his stupid self in the 3rd person ). He felt it necessary to point out Hogan doesn't wear yellow tights anymore. Well, Dah. And before any "intelligent" dweebs point out Hogan is now wrestling, I'll remind you that this is a post from last year.

You stupid moron "The Kid". You're a bright bulb aren't you. Being that Hogan isn't wrestling anymore ( THANK GOD!!!!) he isn't wearing any color tights period ( well except for those occasional private midnight matches with his good buddy Ed "Brutus the Barber" Leslie in Hogan's bedroom ).
I was referring to Hulk Hogan throughout his career, NOT JUST NOW,
( now as stated above, he is no longer wrestling )and for the majority of his career he wore yellow tights ( and even in the last days of his active career IN WCW ) in which announcers gushed over him. When he turned heel, for the first time in his life the announcers didn't gush over him, he had Eric Bischoff ( the man who killed WCW ) for that; giving us the even scarier image of a forty year old in a leather jacket gushing over a big muscular man with a paint-on beard.

Now since "The Kid" is obviously very slow and an "out of the closet" Hulkamaniac, I hope I explained it clearly enough for his small drug addled brain.

You'll probably learn soon enough that here, unlike other forums, insulting other people and acting like a jackass doesn't make too many people even want to read your entire point, let alone engage in an argument about it.

To go back to your point, I would like to know your source about Hogan at Owen's funeral. It seems to be the most important thing in your message and you based your title on it. I'm curious because I've never heard anything about that.

In regards to the rest of Hulk Hogan, I've never really had a problem with him because the amount of fan participation more than counters his "below" average wrestling skills. Needless to say that back in the eighties, American wrestling really wasn't that good, workrate wise that is. Nobody will ever confuse Slaughter, Patterson, Iron Shiek, Andre the Giant, or Hulk himself with the talents of the wrestlers who came later, like Flair, Savage, Benoit, Sting, etc. What Hulk is great at is telling a story with his match. Building all the way until it's time to Hulk Up and let the fans have their emotional orgasm, for a lack of a better description.

I'm not really a Hulk fan, but I am a wrestling fan. As a wrestling fan, I both recgonize and accept the fact that the sport would not be what it is today without him.

That post made me ill, Shane.

Hogan "tells a story" with his matches. Too bad no one understands them. "Builds the crowd to an emotional orgasm." It's comments like that which makes me question the sexual orientation of "Hulkamaniacs".

Crowd reaction indeed. Boos and "Hogan Sucks" chants are great!

You "recognize and accept that the sport would not be what is today without him"? You must have left your brains in your other pair of jeans. You'll forgive me if I don't send him a thank you card. Even if that statement were true, Shane-O, it doesn't call for the cult-like worship his few remaining fans throw at his stinking feet.

"Fan Participation" - Hah! The editing out of negative responses by production crew. The pro-Hogan signs WWF used to hand out. The anti-Hogan signs WWF confiscated at the door. The avoiding camera shots of anti-Hogan signs. Yeah, great "fan" participation.

It doesn't surprise me that you would tune out the Owen Hart funeral debacle. It's typical of Hogan fans to block out the horrible truth of their fallen god. It was plastered all over the news. In fact, the WWF aired it on Raw. That sorry excuse of a man has no concience.

I see Hogan and the WWF propaganda team have bought your mind as well.

I'd like to know which Raw episode aired Hogan's comments and the exact quote that Hogan said, since Hogan was under WCW contract at the time of Owen's death.

I'm sorry if I don't remember them verbatim. I didn't exactly log it complete with dates. I can't remember what Hogan said. Perhaps it was because I was in shock at the gall of his shameless self-serving where he should have been paying his respects. Why did he even go there? It wasn't to mourn Owen, that's for sure.

Whatever he said, I'm sure it involved calling the reporters "brotha" a couple of dozen times. I didn't know Hogan had such an extended family even in Canada.

So in a nutshell, you bitch in two different threads about these comments, you rant on Hogan for many paragraphs, and yet, you can't name when the comments took place, and can't even remember a single line from these supposedly heinous comments by Hogan.

I sense a troll.

Come back when you have some actual proof. Or better yet, don't come back at all.

I remember seeing a pic of Hogan at Owen's funeral and he wasn't wearing red and yellow or any NWO stuff. He was wearing black, maybe because it was a funeral I dunno.
Hogan may have done alot of selfish things, but I don't think any of the other wrestlers or the Harts for that matter would have let something like that happen.
Besides, if that did happen, it would have been reported everywhere. Nice try jerky.

My interpretation of SuperShaneSpear's point:

TYPICAL HOGAN vs. heel MATCH
-Heel Entrance
-Hogan Entrance
-Heel jumps Hogan and beats him down during entrance.
-Near-Fall (1 count)
-Heel works over Hogan a bit.
-Near-Fall (2 count)
-Hogan fights back.
-Near-Fall (1 1/2 or 2 count)
-Heel cheats, hits finisher on Hogan.
-Near-Fall (2 1/2 count)
-Hogan hulks-up, fights back.
-Body Slam!
-Big Boot!
-Leg Drop!
-3-Count!
-Posing

Compare that with...
TYPICAL ROCK vs. heel MATCH
-Heel Entrance
-Rock Entrance
-Heel jumps Rock and beats him down during entrance.
-Near-Fall (1 count)
-Heel works over Rock a bit.
-Near-Fall (2 count)
-Rock fights back.
-Near-Fall (1 1/2 or 2 count)
-Heel cheats, hits finisher on Rock.
-Near-Fall (2 1/2 count)
-Rock "re-energizes", fights back.
-DDT!
-Spinebuster! People's Elbow!
OR
-Rock Bottom! People's Elbow!
-3-Count!
-Posing

See? HOGAN IS A GOD! A GOD!!

To my knowledge (and being a fan of all Stampede Workers) Hogan was not in costume at Owen's funeral. The only thing he had close to a costume was his black doo-rag, which he seems to wear everywhere. Second, Hogan was invited to the funeral by either Bret or Martha. To be truthful, I think Bret made a bigger ass out of himself than Hogan at the funeral.

Okay, never thought I would be defending Hogan. Granted, the man can't wrestle worth beans, but he can draw. His mic skills are pretty good and he is instantly recognizable. So far, I have yet to see any grandstanding in the WWF that he was known for in the WCW. Hell, he put the Rock over clean!

Take your hateful Hogan bashing somewhere else. You won't be welcome here for long...

Say what you will about Hogan the wrestling personality, but I personally would rather you avoid bashing Terry Bollea, the man, who is, as far as I can tell from things involving other wrestlers, one of the most generous men for his position involving the fans. During his run on the top of the WWF, the figure I remember was him not missing a show in 7 years, for illness, injury, or anything else. He also made a point of seeing children from the Make-A-Wish foundation for extended periods of time in nearly every city that he visited. Now, admittedly, I wasn't backstage when Hulkamania was going wild, but these comments are from Terry Taylor in his most recent (to my knowledge) post on Al Isaacs site, and he was both backstage and seems to never lie about what the business when he has something to say, I'll take them as what they're worth. Ultimately, it seems as if he's a hell of a guy, if a big egotistical about his position in wrestling.. but if I were that over, and had a body like that at age 46 (am I remembering that one right?) I think I'd be a bit proud of myself as well.

Well, first off, I don't see the logic of the WWF putting a WCW-signed Hogan on Raw when it would've opened them up to potential lawsuits not to mention bad publicity an attempted smear campaign, but you have seemed to conveniently ignored my point relating to that. Second, there was no more mention about Owen or the funeral on Raw after his death except for the tribute episode, and I sure didn't see Hogan on that show. Third, much like Mike Sweetser pointed out, for all the piss and hatred you have for Hogan, you can't even recall any part of what he allegedly said. Sounds like you're starved for attention, which is also known as trolling, which is also known as pathetic.

I saw the same pic and the only thing remotly similar to his character was a black bandana he was wearing. (still not comfortble w/ the baldness i guess). I can sort of see where someone might think it was rude (like wearing a hat during the Natl anthem, which I've gotten bitched to about before in my younger days) But it wasnt like he came in strummin air geetar and ripped his shirt off.

That's interesting. The guy I went to the PPV with wanted only that shirt (or Cena's other shirt, I think). He brought along extra money just to buy one. Unfortunately for him (and WWE)
