from nypost.com/pagesix:

BELIEVE it or not, pop princess Jewel is turning to hip-hop. The Alaska native has been working in the studio with Jeff Townes, better known to '80s music aficionados as "DJ Jazzy Jeff." Jewel was also seen in Philadelphia earlier this month working with urban producer P-Nut. Ron Shapiro, co-president of Atlantic Records, said, "Jewel is writing songs for what will be a new album in 2003. She is meeting with many people and trying out interesting co-writers at the suggestion of her music publisher."

I would say that this is the worst idea ever, but it just might turn out to be so horrible that it is extremely entertaining. Is there anyone in the music industry who is whiter than Jewel?

With poison running through your veins, and death marching solemnly towards you, heroic acts become more of a necessity as you see your time dwindling.

Vanquishing your enemies, making amends to those you have wronged, and leaving words of love and kindness for those around you become second nature as your own mortality looms

However, true strength lies not in these last desperate acts, but in the actions of one who has to get out of bed the next day and face the consequences of doing that which you believe is right.

Jewel can do anything she wants as long as she remains so gosh-darn hot.

She's hot, and she has an awesome voice.

Her first album "Pieces Of You" was very good.

I really wish she'd do something about those teeth, though. She's rich! Get the invisible braces!

I used to say that all Rap music consisted of was poorly written poetry spoken over prerecorded music.

Seems like I was right!

If I remember right, Black Sabbath have been inducted but Ozzy refused the honor, saying that the people involved in the selection we're all suits and that their true fans were the only people that mattered.
