Simple, the NWO will run in and interfere (The poison is still there) and Hollywood, will turn his back on the fans, and show that his being jumped out at mania was a swerve. You heard it here first, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Leader of the NWO, and Undisputed champion.

I have never heard someone turning at one PPV, and then turning AGAIN at the next PPV. That's not to say that it won't happen, but I won't believe it until I see it (and maybe not even then). | Net Hack Slasher

| #4 Posted on 7.4.02 2131.07 | How bout why The Rock suggested Hogan for a title shot in the first place?
My theory. Rock Isnt sure he can beat Triple H But he does know that he can beat hogan. So he helps hogan get the shot and then interferes on behalf of Hogan at the PPV costing Trips the match and thus making hollywood Hulk Hogan your new Undisputed champion. Rock Knowing that he can beat Hogan issues a challenge to Hogan for the title at KOR. That gives us the rematch of the century so to speak in WWF terms, and KOR timeframe wise would be the perfect time for the rocks long awaited heel turn which i think is just being held off to keep fans interest in the Scorpion King high

I agree, this does make sense. I have no idea what a heel Rock would be like, but I'd love to see it.

Excuse me while I de-lurk just to say that I would love this. I think that turning Rocky based on a few boos from some canadians would be a huge mistake. But a "which one will turn" three way rivalry between Rocky and the two HHHs, simmering for three months before one of them goes all the way heel, would be awesome!
And if they were to go that way, I would go with a Rocky turn in the end. Hogan's going out face, and I think it's too close to the end to turn him twice. HHH may not be over as the #1 face, but that doesn't mean he should be the #1 heel, it means he should go down the card for a while and build up more slowly. I felt the same way about Angle last summer.
As for Rocky, he has been uncharacteristically nice to Hogan. Traditionally, (see Rock + Sock) Rock is as mean to his friends as his enemies. At first I thought they were finally giving "the Rock" a soft side, (combined with genuine emotion and hero-worship for a childhood idol on the part of Mr. Johnson). But disengenuousness leading up to a slow-boil heel turn would be an equally satisfying option. It would also mean that theRock buddying up to Hogan so soon after attempted vehicular homicide would make some sense.
I can so easily see theRock convincing Hogan that HHH was the bad guy in this situation--He looks like a bad guy, right? He has a mean voice and scowls a lot, right?--that Rock only interfered because HHH was about to "Cheat to Win", honest, and that Rock only wants a match with Hogan, because, well, Hogan wanted a rematch, right? It will be an honest, well-fought match in the spirit of good old-fashioned, all-american competitive spirit, really. As the match grows closer, we see more and more hints that Rock is being disingenuous, but Hogan believes in his new friend because he's old and clueless and -- hell, he's always fallen for that kind of thing, right? Then, after helping Hogan retain from 'Taker at the May PPV, he cheats to take Hogan's championship from him at KOR with the help of Vince, not because he needs Vince's help, as he proved at WM, but because he is no longer the people's champ, or the corporate champ, he's the hollywood champ, and from now on he's the only one who should attach "hollywood" to their name. After all, when did Hogan make a picture that actually made any money? (This part depends on "Scorpion King" actually making enough money to brag about...)
Okay at some point there I went from "speculating about interesting possible storylines" to "sad fan-boy fantasy booking". Ah, well, I'd love to see "The Hollywood Champion" as a heel gimmick. Time to return to lurk until the next time I'm inspired to comment.

| #7 Posted on 8.4.02 1343.13 | According to Meltzer Rock is about to go on hiatus until June due to ScorpKing related stuff. If that's true, then it makes sense why he'd throw his rub to Hogan. Let the nostalgia gravy train run for a few months, then when it slows down, they can have Hogan return the favor for Rock against the surely by then heel HHH.

| #8 Posted on 8.4.02 1344.58 | The problem with a Rock turn is that, much like with Austin, he would have to reinvent his character entirely to stay over as a heel. Unlike Austin, I don't think Rocky would be very good at it.

I am curious to know why you think Rock would have to reinvent himself. I think he has an excellent character, and is without a doubt talented enough to make this character work as a heel, without major changes.

pishaw. the rock we generally see now isn't that much different from the corporate rock of a few years back. he's a jerk now, but he's the kind of jerk a lot of people really want to be. if he takes it up a couple notches and turns into an asshole again, you got a killer heel.
i love the idea of hogan turning heel again. it would be a supreme dick move and would get the nwo over like crazy. the only problem is it might remind people of the blah hogan we've seen the past few years and it could also undermine his real retirement, if that's what we'll actually get when his contract's up. he already tarnished that a bit by retiring on leno and swearing it was legit.
a "which one will turn" three way (months down the line) is the type of big story we could use right about now. i love rock and all but if him turning would add to that, fuck the people.

| #13 Posted on 9.4.02 1257.29 | Personally, I loved the Rock as a heel a few years back. The thought of Hollywood Rock vs Hollywood Hogan for the Hollywood Championship sounds like an excellent idea.
For those of you clamoring for a HHH heel turn, be prepared. Hunter going heel means aligning with Vince, and that can only mean the great Stephanie McMahon won't be far behind. I would like to see Rock and HHH faction, as heels, doing Vince's biding. I wouldn't mind Stephanie being back, but I know 90% of you guys puke at the thought.

| #15 Posted on 9.4.02 1445.44 | I don't think people will be afraid to boo Rocky...the fans at Mania did indeed boo him but why do some still say they were "Canadian" fans...people at Mania were there from all over the world...people are sick of Rocky being so over, they are jealous of all his movie crap and what not (elbow and stupid catch phrases) so the fans will boo him. If you recall at Mania last year, people were booing Rocky in the main event, not Austin.
This is what needs to happen:
HHH - heel Rocky - heel Hogan - face Austin - face Jericho - heel Booker - face
If HHH does join the nWo, they definetly need to be cool heels again.
