I think this is bullshit. I met him twice when they were here and he was very friendly and courteous both times. He happily signed autographs for other people around, and seemed genuinely happy to be in the position he was in. There is a difference between "connecting with the fans" on a one on one basis and "connecting with the fans" on national television and in front of a crowd of a few thousand.
