WWE.com has posted the following:

"Triple H injured during title match

Triple H suffered an injury, reportedly to his throat area, during the Elimination Chamber Match at Survivor Series on Sunday night. Triple H has been taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. WWE.com will have an update on The Game's condition as soon as it becomes available."

No word on the condition of RVD, who looked to legitimately hurt himself on the frog splash to HHH.

It looked like RVD's knee landed on HHH's throat during that attempted Frog Splash.

Wouldn't that put WWE in a pickle if RVD and HHH are injured for any length?

Thank you, Cx, for getting that out first.

I guess that does explain why he was basically doing nothing for significant portions of the match.

Has anyone heard anything on RVD yet?

I imagine that if we don't hear anything, then it was nothing major. He looked like he tweaked it pretty bad, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's in deep trouble. Hunter probably got something pretty good, and I can't imagine him not taking a little time off. Kudos to him for working the finish though.

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)

Vikings (2-7) - I don't know. I didn't see it. Just saw that we lost.

Don't worry, have no fear, HHH WILL find a way to do a 20 minute promo, dammit! He'll just suck it up...by gawd.
Maybe they can use Kane's old voice box thing.

come on...the guy is legit hurt and people are making fun of him? This is ridiculous. I say that it once again goes to show how much of a professional HHH is. Remember the torn quad? The guy gutted it out to finish that match. Say what you will about HHH...he's one tough bastard.

So, if it's a larynx injury like what Steamboat had, do you think that he'll be gone for long? On a side note, I don't even know if that larynx injury was legit from back in the day. Was it, or was it a cover for another injury...anyone know?

Don't you worry, if Triple H can't wrestle or cut a promo, then he'll spend THAT MUCH MORE TIME in the booking meetings. *insert maniacal laugh* ;)

I'm pretty sure RVD was just a little shook up and not injured. If you watch in the background after he's eliminated from the Chamber, after laying on the floor for a little while he walks away on his own power.

Besides, if he IS injured I'm sure he's got the right blend of medicinal herbs right nearby ;)

i believe the Steamboat injury was fixed. He was working other dates while he was out.. Even though i fondly remember them showing him doing sign language learning how to speak again

If RVD actually did injure Triple H with the frogsplash...

...then expect RVD to be buried like nobody's business.

Well, it's always too bad when someone gets hurt, regardless of who it is. With that said, I sure hope they don't bury RVD. First time in the Chamber, I doubt anyone realized how moves might impact differently than they ordinarily would. If you're right, I hope they don't decide to bump him down to heat to feud with his old ECW compatriot, Raven.

It's funny how Triple H got hurt, worked the rest of the match, and lost his title completely cleanly in the middle of the ring, but no one noticed because they were too busy complaining about him only losing to his friend...when to the casual fan, Mr. Cerebral Assassin is looking like a chump against a guy who hasn't wrestled regularly in four years.

(Yeah, no response to that...I didn't think so.)

I noticed that when HBK dropped the elbow from atop one of the "holding cells", HHH was more in the center of the ring than when RVD attempted the frog splash.

So if HHH is MIA, than RVD should not be SOL... and won't be just another TLA... :-)

If Triple H is injured, then we have ourselves a dilemma on Raw. That leaves nobody for HBK to feud with, as just about every credible heel (and face, for that matter) has been buried. I mean, this is why WWE should have been BUILDING UP NEW GUYS instead of giving us the Triple H show every week!

Where on their pages is that ? (I'm not seeing it -- am I suddenly having refresh problems?)

I thought that RVD had jumped too far out (for the height he was jumping from) & actually caught HHH in the jaw with his knee. I assumed the ugliness of the resulting roll-over & RVD's "distress" was to let Earl & HHH sort out how hurt HHH was. I hate it when they get injured.

If HHH is really gone for any length of time then they can do 2 things, have Booker step into a feud with HBK for not living up to his word by not eliminating HHH when he had the chance (ok he did eventually, but you get the idea), or they can have HBK drop the title like Vince did, saying he's not in any shape to be the champ, he respects it too much. That would leave a vacant title and have the other 3 guys fight it out over the course of Raw or something like that.

Watching the show, I immediately thought RVD was the injured party. (hence the quick cover by Booker) I noticed that HBK and HHH were chatting a lot during their final segment, so I'm wondering if they had to alter the finish due to the injury? Just speculation, I guess...
