You'll find that people actually do think for themselves. You want to know why I'm not a big fan of HHH right now, why I think he should take a step back? because maybe it's time for someone else to get the sustained push to the top like he received. If he is actually 'that damned good' like he says then he shouldn't have to worry about a new star rising. The Undertaker didn't lose his position when Triple H, The Rock, and more recently Kurt Angle showed up on the scene. So where would the harm be in having one more star? You can't deny the fact that Triple H has been the centre of attention on RAW. What if someone else received that kind of exposure? Or what if Triple H received more time, but a little bit less of it while that remaining time can go to people like Booker T, Tommy Dreamer, The UnAmericians, etc.

The writers could possibly be the ones giving him the time, but who is the head writer? His girlfriend. Who is the boss? Her father. Who is the one who has main evented some great PPV's and is perceived to be a prenium main eventer? Triple H. If he was a team player then maybe he'd back off.

This is what a lot of people are thinking these days Drivebye14, and a lot of people have came to these thoughts on their own free power, not because the masses have said so.

For myself, I haven't enjoyed Triple H's work recently for more than the above. As I said in my coloumn that was posted today on /slash, I look past the 'politics' and all the reports and stuff, past the stports entertainment, and look within the ring. And in that ring, Triple H these days has not been operating at the level he used to. He is trying sometimes, but other times it looks like he's fingerpainting rather than using the paint brush.

Ringmistress, not many can look at their favorite wrestler and admit that they're flawed. That's cool in my books =)

Well said, El Nastio. I think of it like this, humans are flawed, and human wrestlers are too. With my fave wrestlers I think as long as the flaws don't outweigh the good things, it's no big deal to me.

Drivebye - The reason very few people replied seriously to your post was because it sounded like such a bunch of childish, finger-pointing crap. You had made all of two posts on this site and already you were bashing everyone here. Why would we answer you seriously?

If you actually read a few posts to see how the different people on this board think, you wouldn't be so quick to say we're all sheep, or whatever else you want to call it.

If you read one of three posts on this site, all of which were posted yesterday when you started your rant, you would have seen a lot of reasons people like or dislike HHH.

My post, for example, said that I think all the politics stuff is bollocks, but that I just find him sooooo boring to watch. He looks slow and his moves suck. His finisher doesn't look legit to me.

A few other people had similar but different reasons for liking or disliking him.

As far as the sheep tendencies go, anybody that has taken Psych 101 knows that there is always one sheep who likes to look on from the outside and pretend he's not like everybody else.

He usually points fingers and calls names and has some non-conformist view point. He likes certain things because the majority of people don't like them and he doesn't like certain things because the majority does like them.

He is a sheep just the same. Get over yourself.

The sheep comment always makes me laugh. When's the last time you saw two people on this board agree completely about anything?

I've been hard on HHH lately, but as has been said, he's become a slug in the ring. Before he went down, I liked his feud with Angle over Steph. And people back then were saying that he was on track to be the best heel since Ric Flair. But that spark isn't there anymore. And now RAW's turned into the Triple H fellatio hour, with everyone talking about what a great in-ring general he is and how he's the smartest man in the business. Why, because he audibly calls out spots and throws high knees? As for intelligence, I don't doubt that, but his promos have been horrible and that's not acceptable these days.

You know what, you're *absolutely* right about this. I agree wholeheartedly.

Now let's see someone try to figure this one out. :-)

Not to beat a dead horse, and this Triple H is evil thing is most definitely a dead horse (glue, in fact) that I have "ranted" on many a time before but a couple quick points.

1- We, the IWC, I think pretend to be smarter than we are. That much is obvious. But we get most of our information from wrestling sources like the Torch and Dave Meltzer at the Observer. Even when we DON'T know it most of our knowledge comes from them, they are the front-runners of wrestling news. I trust them because they are journalists. They make their money from the wrestling business. That means they are in the industry. I do not always agree with them, but I trust them for info. Now I think the IWC, meaning people like us on boards like this, sometimes forget to credit Meltzer and Powell and the Torch/Observer dudes as sources for our educated opinions, but if I hadn't heard Meltzer saying Triple H buried Jericho backstage when they did the Dusty title switch and Hebner reversed the decision, I wouldn't be talking the smack I do. But once someone reliable puts something out there, it's easier to draw one's own conclusions. For instance, Triple H recently jobbed to D'Von (okay, weeks and weeks ago). And D'Von was almost immediately buried. Now he loses to Bautista in two minutes. That makes people think. But bottom line, I will watch Triple H and see this stuff, and so will a casual fan. My brother, my friends all comment on Triple H being everywhere, being shoved down their throats...You don't have to be a wrestling nerd and be a Torch subscriber to see that. It is obvious.

The Jericho thing is a personal issue for me. I think Jericho improved match to match while champion. But no one was made into a bigger chump than Jericho. Angle was a goofy heel champ, I'll admit that. But he was credible. When Jericho couldn't beat Spike Dudley without help, he lost his credibility. Jericho beat no one cleanly as champ. Not a single person. That's a little much. Everyone rants how the Rock jobs. But when does Rock job cleanly? He never did to Jericho. I can think only of Brock, Hogan in the tag-match before 'Mania and Austin at Wrestlemania 15 since becoming a top guy. To me, that doesn't make him a messiah. Jericho needed to go over. Now, the one thing that couldn't be taken from Jericho, being the 1st Undisputed CHamp, is totally nullified by the company bringing back another belt, one of the belts that was unified into the current Undisputed title. It makes NO sense, but it is done anyway, and Jericho is bottom-feeding now. And I hate it, because I think Jericho, is behind only Benoit, Angle, and Guerrero in terms of wrestling ability right now.

Usually when you're in a feud with Ric Flair, it's not really bottom feeding. If that is for some of you, that's a knock on Flair.

Am I the only one who is tired of talking about Triple H?

And feuding with Ric Flair is bottom-feeding?

The man is 53 years old and can still go.I'm surpised he can still walk.

Remember his career was supposed to be over 20 some odd years ago after he broke his back.

Ric Flair is by far one of the best on RAW in terms of pure skill. At 53 YEARS OF AGE. The Man can STILL GO. And that's not a knock on the RAW brand, that's props to Flair. Jericho could do MUCH worse than a feud with the Nature Boy.

Ric Flair can still go? How's that? All he does these days is chop, chop, and chop some more. He couldn't even make that flair flip over the buckle at Summerslam. I know what Flair has been, and continues to be in this business, but there's no denying when we see him out there anymore that his heart is not in the business at this juncture. When he comes out and says to Triple H how Trips is the 'best in the business' I want to hurl. When he wants to, he can be good. But he obviously didn't care too much about the match with Jericho. Bottom feeding IS working with Flair when you are jobbing in the middle of the ring to a man who is 53 and has tits (legend or not) to the figure-freaking-four. Come on, who has that move ever beaten?

Besides McMahon...

I don't wanna step on anyone's feet here, but since it's Friday and we don't have an NXT recap, I thought I'd try one. Sorry to who posts them regularily. I'll give a girls perspective on it too. 1:
