There's a new online movement to help Nathan Fillion purchase the rights to Firefly from FOX. Entertainment Weekly has the story:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/21/help-nathan-fillion-buy-firefly/

And there's a website with all the info and social networking links:

http://helpnathanbuyfirefly.com/

This all seems highly unlikely and far fetched, but you know, if there was any possibility of getting that show back, I'd pony up $40 to help.

Incidentally, Firefly will debut on The Science Channel on March 6. I'm excited for that since it'll be the first time I'll see the series in HD. (I never bought the Blu-rays.)

After killing most of the interesting characters in the movie, is there a real need to bring this back?

I'd rather support a movement to see Nathion Fillion play the lead in the Uncharted movie adaptation. Having Walhberg as Nathan Drake...no.

I certainly agree, but you almost have to give his movie a pass because it was obviously part of what this movie was about. But overall, yes Hollywood has finally fallen in love with the wang. I also see your point about this movie specifically.
