I fail to see your point.

The Rock fits in where they have to ask him to help put a stop to things. Things get that wild they have no choice but to bring the Rock back to fight this fight. And he won't come back alone:

Mick Foley returns to round out the Survivor Series babyface team.

.....with possibly Jericho returning to amp up the heels.

Nope. Even in defeat, Kelly Kelly is still under the protection of WWE Creative. It'll always take two Divas of Doom to beat one K2.

And speaking of color coordination, on the night K2's ring gear was perfectly color coordinated to the pink butterfly Divas belt, this was the night she lost it.

I am glad Beth finally won it. If only because had she lost, she would have been completely infringing on Christian's One More Match! gimmick.

Jericho is not coming back. He has already stated as such. Punk still lost in at least one match he had to win, the HHH one. He has also gotten his ass kicked by a senior citizen during that time period. He is now the number merchandise seller, its time for him to get the same treatment that Cena gets. Let Cena eat a pin or actually Punk go over instead worrying about some Mexican tour that won't matter after next week.

The angle they do has a good chance of being one of those "people already know this is happening so we're not even going to do an angle to explain it" situations, but you could at least wait until the storyline that is another month away doesn't make sense before bemoaning the illogic of something that doesn't exist. After that, go nuts. My guess is Foley will have something to do with bringing him in but my attempts at logic have fallen on deaf Raws before.

For those of who don't know, that is a Doctor Who reference which is a show you should be watching instead of this one.

I don't watch it but here's a list of everything they do wrong.

He's not doing so good. "Health-wise, for Carlos, things just simply do not look very bright. One hip, the one on which he had surgery, hurts him so much he can barely walk now, pain or no pain. The other hip has begun to hurt in ways that remind him exactly of what happened a few years ago with the other hip. The next time you see him in a wheelchair may mean you have seen the last of him walking. He has problems with the kidney replacement that left him fighting for his life after surgery. His replacement kidney, with its estimated life span of seven to fifteen years, will start to slowly wear out soon enough. The anti-rejection drugs he has to take cause him to retain water, badly bloating his stomach. His heart, the one with a stent in it now, will never get better. Add it up, and you don’t have to be a psychic to see the future."

Jericho left right as he was about to unveil the Anonymous GM. Storyline-wise it would make sense that Jericho found out it was Laurenitis.

He has career-long issues with HHH, Cena, and Rock. He has been "feuding" with CM Punk on Twitter since the Summer of Punk began.

So HHH comes along and removes the Anon GM thus leaving Laurenitis further out of the loop.

So yeah, Jericho would tie it all together nicely at Survivor Series:

Jericho, Miz, Truth, Nash? Vs. HHH, Rock, Cena, Foley (for Punk, who should be beating ADR at MSG where he'll be loved).

I'm sure I called jericho as GM months ago...so I had to mention it here.

Oh he was not. He lost because he got hit with a weapon, which is perfectly within the rules of HITC. That's like him losing a chain match because he got hit by a chain and saying he was protected. 90% of the audience doesn't even watch these PPVs. To them, all they know is CM Punk lost. Again. It was like when Jericho, despite being hugely over in 2000, lost virtually every PPV match that year unless it was against Chyna or X-Pac, and people said it didn't matter because he was charismatic and as long as he was protected no biggie. Only it did matter. It created a perception that he was not a top guy. Why did CM Punk have to do a job because this company decided John Cena needed to be WWE Champ for two weeks? They make a dumb decision, ADR loses his title needlessly, CM Punk eats a job needlessly, and the only person who is ever really protected is Cena.

Beth winning...why not do it two weeks ago? What was the point of that. Love the IC title coming back. Put a huge smile on my face. Air Boom's match was also good. Henry is being so well-booked right now, it's hard to believe he's in WWE. Now hopefully they give Orton the few months of chasing without another immediate title shot.

While Punk's ring work continues to be solid it's quite possible that he's as much to blame for the wind coming out of his characters sails as the WWE Machine is.

Chris Jericho almost always stayed entertaining even when he was being crushed by the powers above him. He was charismatic sure, but he was also very creative. CM Punk is usually very entertaining and he also has a lot of charisma, but he seems to be lacking in creativity.

I find it hard to believe that he has no say in his character development, but I see nothing new from him other than the same shtick we've been getting for the last couple of months now. That worked great against Cena and Vince, but not so much against Helmsley.

Is it his fault he's been booked off course? Probably not, but he can shoulder some of the blame for his character coming off as flat the last couple of weeks.

Simply put, IMO, Punk flounders when he's not allowed to open real-life cans of worms and bury his opponents so deeply that he's permanently killed their credibility. That's the sort of promo he's most comfortable cutting, and it's where most of the appeal of his character is.

He had to be able to run with the "I'm the only real person in this company; everyone else is just playing a character and they're all horrible, terrible people in real life" card in order to become the new undisputed #1 guy.

And while there are plenty of people who would have loved to see him rip everyone to shreds through shoot promos and 1/2 shoot promos, it wouldn't have been good for the overall health of the roster.

I dunno. He won the No. 1 contender shot after building momentum on RAW before and after Nexus. This followed dominating SmackDown with the SES. He was getting the mic weekly to work the audience and build his heel gimmick, and it was all about being straight edge and better than everyone else. It was pure old-school heel shtick, and it worked all the way until the booking had Nexus dissolve.

It wasn't until the gossip about Punk's contract that Punk sat down on the stage, talked about the backstage stuff, and blew up.

His work against Rey and Jeff and Orton gave us just enough "real" material to suggest he was turning the screws, but it was also his ringwork that helped him remain a top talent. He was already popular, but it felt like the WWE finally gave him the chance to be as big a star as we wanted him to be. Or as big a star as he almost was as SmackDown champ.

Konnan hasn't wrestled since he underwent hip replacement surgery followed by a kidney transplant in 2007. He's still prominent in AAA as a stable leader/mouthpiece, and I guess it's possible that he'll try to return to the ring at some point, but I'd think he'd be very limited in terms of in-ring ability at this point--like, as limited as Hogan.

This would tie all the crazy booking since Punk first won the belt together AND it makes sense, so it will never happen.

Random comments on the rest of this thread:

-Re: Punk not being protected. All you have to ask is "Is Punk better off now than he was a month ago?"

-They need to stop worrying about protecting everyone on the roster. Parity booking is a huge problem in this company. Bottom line, if you get trashed an a promo and can't keep your heat, the problem is with YOU. Look at Cena, the Rock absolutely BURIED him in a promo and yet he still was able to cut some pretty damn good promos in return and keep his heat.

Cena also got nailed by GLAAD for his promos. After that, he also played the God card on Rock and then the terrorist card on Punk. I would agree with parity if Cena would job clean at times which he really hasn't done since Money in the Bank. SummerSlam was a screwed up finish at best. Cena is no longer the number one and it needs to show. Cena should have eaten that fall instead of Punk or just have Punk win and add some mystery on who he is going to side with.

Oh my goodness, this again.

I'm as big a fan of Punk as anyone, and anyone who thinks he hasn't been hurt by WWE booking of the past few months simply hasn't been paying attention. But c'mon, "we will not negotiate with terrorists" is a standard cliché from any spy movie ever and probably some real-life famous people as well (I'm not digging through 141,000 Google hits, but you're welcome to do so). It was stupid when people got worked up about it at the time and it's even stupider to still care now.

If you want to complain about horrible Cena dialogue and/or WWE's treatment of Punk, there are plenty of legitimate examples to use. Let this one die.

Raw is not a spy movie. I am not going to get over it, because this is the major problem with Cena promos. He pulls out some outlandish comment in order to be edgy to save his Mr. Roboto promos. Its the second time he has done it when he is getting owned on the mic.

Also, I don't like the idea of open negations is somehow UnAmerican. Maybe he said it as a spur of the moment thing or maybe someone said hey Linda is running again, make an anti-union or anti-employee comment. I don't know, but I am tired of the WWE bringing in their own politics to a wrestling show.
