It was just a little too convenient that no one on-air was mentioning the cement incident and I'd imagine that becomes the reason for his turn. So this feud drags on...and I mean DRAGS, because that match was terrible.
Do they not have any confidence in Orton as the champion, because why put him on second? They couldn't have put him on after Edge/Swagger or the Divas match?
Oh, speaking of which, Edge/Swagger would have been nice if they had given it some build-up. And by build-up, I mean more than a throwaway segment on SmackDown. The way the match turned out, you could almost tell they booked it hours before the show.
So who are the "fans" that assisted Barrett? Keller ID'd one as Husky Harris, so it looks like the ball's rolling on the Nexus reload. The match went about as well as could be expected and Barrett deserves some major props for delivering a watchable HiaC match in his first six months with the company.

FLASHLIGHT. IN THE FACE. That was some NXT quality stuff.

I think to space out the Cells as much as possible without the absurdity of a HIAC world title opener.

I don't think we ever saw the other guy's face but I assumed it had to be the genesis of McGillicudy. That match saved the show for me; it combined two great ideas (Cena losing and Husky joining Nexus). The reaction shots for the crowd are going to live on as .gifs for years and years.
They should've just called the show No Mercy since the HIACs added nothing and the best stuff was Cena/Barrett and the opener. | John Orquiola

| #4 Posted on 3.10.10 2223.13 | Finishers were remarkably ineffective tonight. Barrett kicked out of the Attitude Adjustment! That's the biggest moment of his brief in ring career so far. Cole made an amazing Jim Ross 1998-like call: "Oh no! OH NO! OH NO!" when Barrett hit the Wasteland before Cena kicked out at the last moment.
Kane kicked out of the Last Ride and managed to escape Hell's Gate. Taker kicked out of a Tombstone that might have crippled him as Kane was holding Taker way too low.
They missed a golden opportunity to milk Cena's defeat by not playing "We Are One" as Cena was leaving the ring.
The other golden opportunity they missed was to put on a good show with Hell in a Cell matches that weren't pointless to hold in a Hell in a Cell cage.
Everything after the opener was varying degrees of decent to awful.
But at least now there's a reason to tune in to RAW tomorrow and something to look forward to seeing: The spectacle of John Cena donning the black and yellow N. They should refer to him as "Nexus Rookie" John Cena.

John Cena: smartest man in wrestling.
Didn't catch the show, but I'm definitely going to catch it when it shows up on 24/7. Sounds like an awesome show all-around (although I'll probably turn it off before the main event).

This storyline could go to at least the Rumble. Cena and Nexus vs Orton and the rest of the Raw faces for Survivor Series could be epic. Paul turning was no shock, so I now expect Taker/Kane to go to Mania. As for the Divas' match, who throws a shoe anyway? | John Orquiola

Nope. At the pay per view, Cole unveiled a brand new, "upgraded" laptop for the GM. (It looked just like the other laptop. If it's "upgraded", it should at least have Skype.)
Originally posted by lotjx As for the Divas' match, who throws a shoe anyway?
Striker had the line of the night: "Layla's a heel!"
I forgot to rhetorically ask the biggest question I had coming out of last night: What kind of hair product does Wade Barrett use? He had a long, grueling match with Cena and not a hair on his head was out of place.

The Cena thing totally let the air out of the crowd (which was good) but then on one cares about the ensuing two matches. I watched this with my 8 year old son, who is a Cena maniac. He actually cried when Cena lost. Reminds me of how I used to feel when Hogan lost.

- The triple threat to start the show was excellent, and IMHO was the right one to start the show with. I also like how Cole finally said "I'll admit; Daniel Bryan is the real deal".
- Should they end the show with Cena losing? Not sure but wow; was that crowd shocked. I think the Cena fans were too shocked and upset, while those who don't like Cena were shocked that he actually LOST a match with these kind of stakes.
One little thing of interest; Smackdown and Raw stars joining forces to drive out the Nexus interference. Why is this cool? It sets the stage for Bragging Rights.

THAT absolutely ruled. Loved it. :D
The match itself was great as well, as was the opener. I wouldn't mind to see more of these three. Also, I'm glad to see Daniel Bryan win another round. And that Cole finally got over his hatred a bit and showed some respect for Daniel. It was about time. | Loosie

The ending to Taker/Kane was LAME though. I usualy do not have aproblem with most of the stuff they do, but the lightning and thunder while Taker was doing the 'throat-slit' followed be being 'blinded by the light' and the inevtable Bearer turning was bad.
Defentaly Husky Harris the nailed Cena, not too sure that it was McGuillicutty that ran in as the 'fan' though. And speaking of NXT2 guys are we going are we now going to have a Riley/Morrison feud? or just move it right to Riley/Bryan?
Not too surprised that they added an impromptu match seeing as how only 5 matches were advertised for the show.

It was definitely McGuillicutty. We watched the show on a 65" HDTV and it was clear it was him on when the replay was shown. Striker and Cole, I'm guessing, were instructed on the headsets not to reveal who the run ins' identities were.

Sheamus didn't need a 3rd WWE title, and Kane doesn't need to have his best angle in years cut out from under him so soon. Surprised the chick title didn't change hands, though.
