an FYI from (EDIT: PWInsider - please don't credit sites if all they're doing is reading another site and indicating as such - thecubsfan) for fans of the shows that actually show the better matches ...

"As reported yesterday, WWE will be dropping Confidential soon. It appears that they will also be moving Velocity and Heat. As of May 3rd, Velocity will air at 7PM ET on Saturday while Heat will air at 10AM ET on Sunday."

Heat will be on at 10 AM on Sunday? Sounds like a new cartoon show.

So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!

(I'm told that, in the UK, my name is actually hilarious.)

Harkoning back to the days of WWF Mania with Savage and that annoying Todd guy. Y'know, Michael Cole's evil twin.

Quinn: Nails, chains -- you won't have titanium teeth for nothing.
Murphy: Nails are like candy to robots! And we'll eat tires instead of licorice.
Debbie: GAH! No we won't!!
Murphy: Maybe YOU won't.

Show's called Sunday Night Heat. So 10AM is, what? Not night! Steven's gonna be ticked.

I guess this is actually from SpikeTV's upfront? Let me dig around for that.

Sunday 10AM is the old USA WWF weekend slot, so they're probably reaching back for that. Of course, many of those programs were pretaped highlight packages shows.

I think I like this time slot better for recapping purposes, but I don't know that it'll do any better number wise.

Cubber, I dunno if this actually applies to Heat. PWInsider's story says "Spike TV is shaking up its schedule starting May 3rd. WWE Velocity will now air at 7 pm EST and WWE Sunday will air at 10 am Sundays."

Wade says they're going to start a new Sunday morning show, cause they have to replace the hour that they're losing by getting rid of Confidential. So probably "WWE Sunday at 10am" is that show (All American, natch), and Heat doesn't move at all.

Ah.

So WWE Sunday 10AM will indeed be a recap show (which is what it used be), and they're just making it so Velocity and Heat are at the same time but different days. I guess that works.

Good to know Steven won't have to change his pants.

How long has it been since Steven picked up a big win on Heat? Everytime I tune in, which is here and there, he's jobbing to another damn oaf.

Interesting to see them go to the Saturday at 7 time slot. That could work, as it could, theoretically, tap into the people who would watch WCW Saturday Night in that time slot for all those years. Probably wouldn't be much, but considering the ratings for Velocity, not much would probably double the rating.
As for the death of Confidential: About time. It had some good moments, but those were heavily outweighed by the fluff/crap, and that ratio has increased rather than decreased. Plus, there are only so many "Austin Quits", "History of the Horsemen" etc. type things they can do.

That's a good point, the number of truly interesting features that WWE would willingly put on Confidential are quite limited. I may have been a good idea to not cancel the show completely, but have it be a once a month special or something along those lines. Features would be more important because all of the fluff can be discarded and only the really good stuff would be shown. I know I'd watch it if the show was done this way.

That's funny, I've seen examples of what I consider major fun highlights of Confidential being used by others as reasons why Confidential sucks LoL. I guess it all depends on the person watching, I think the "fluff" if you have a certain connection with whoever the piece is on you can enjoy it for what it is, it really depends on the person watching... Military fluff kind of bores me BUT wrestler traveling overseas giving us a tour fluff is usually enjoyable for me. But overall I like the show because it's seeing these men & women away from the ring. Some of them are really good, some are not in it, which again is an interesting to see who's comfortable in this sort of environment.

Harder documentaries pieces on Confidential is interesting but some levity is enjoyable as well. One thing about Confidential I liked is that I usually leave the show liking these performers more so then actual Raw or Smackdown show... I think most missed that point, and if you don't' like it, it's understandable it's not your cup of tea. I do see online reviewers who just rip anything that wasn't considered "history, controversy or ring work" and I'm like dude you shouldn't be reviewing this show then because 70% of the show you're going to hate. Now matter how cute or fun or well done a piece is if it's not controversial or dealing with history you're not going to enjoy.

I always thought Confidential would have fit better on a weekend morning/early afternoon show. It just seems that sort of show that would have fit in that sort of time spot... Kind of like NBA inside Stuff did.
