Remembering that Summerslam was the best PPV last year, and noting that last night's show was one of the best so far this year, I'm excited.

Here's what I'm hoping we'll see next month:

Angle vs. Brock, nobody does a heel turn. I know the bookers don't like to do face/face matches, but this one has plenty of story stemming from last night's match without either character having to abandon what's working for them right now.

HHH vs. Goldberg. Watched HHH/Cactus Jack from Rumble 2000 yesterday cause I got bored. HHH used to be so much faster. This feud would be interesting if WWE made public both of their injuries and let them become part of the storyline. Alas, that ain't going to happen and we're going to pretend that gimp vs. one-arm is really a clash of titans.

Undertaker vs. Cena. I'm remembering last fall when we were so ticked about Taker/Brock at Unforgiven, then there was a solid HITC match at No Mercy. I hope we have a repeat performance from Undertaker. Cena has starpower that hasn't been seen in this company since Rocky Maivia turned heel. They need to give him the big push starting now.

Kane vs. Austin. I suppose this is where we're headed. I won't mind this at all if Kane goes over clean.

Something good for Randy Orton. Don't know what's planned, but I think a feud with Shawn Michaels would make sense.

Rhyno / Benoit - this could be a solid feud if they treat it seriously. I'd love to see something stretch out over a few PPVs.

Here's how I'd throw it together:

From Raw...

HHH vs. Goldberg: This one we already know.

Booker vs. Jericho: It would be nice if Booker could actually gain one PPV win over someone who actually means something eventually.

Michaels vs. Orton: Appears to be where they're headed...if you're going to go Superpush with Orton, might as well go all the way with it.

RVD vs. Kane: I know Shane will probably get this match, but RVD really should be in this slot. Have everyone that Kane has wronged since he unmasked (Dreamer, Rico, Shane, Austin?) try and help RVD win this no DQ match, but have Kane still come out on top. Really put him over strong as a monster heel.

From Smackdown...

Angle vs. Rhyno vs. Benoit: Stay away from Brock vs. Angle, no reason to hotshot that match so soon. I'd have both Benoit and Rhyno end up as heels in this match, alligned under Heyman, with the belt on Benoit. Will it happen? No way.

Brock vs. Big Show: Brock needs to get a decisive win to finish this feud properly. Give it to him here in a cage match.

Undertaker vs. Cena: Cena needs his win back or his credibiltiy has just taken a giant step back.

WGTT vs. Rey/Kidman vs. Mattitude/Moore vs. APA: I'd rather use Tajiri/Dragon than APA, but there's no way. Showcase a few extra guys, there are plenty on SD who deserve it.

Guerrero vs. Tajiri: It's gotta happen eventually, and it'll be a decent match.

Here's what I'm thinking. No shocks or swerves, just stuff based on what we already know or assume:

HHH-Goldberg
Angle-Lesnar II
Michaels-Orton (special referee Mick Foley?)
RVD/Shane-Kane/Vince
Undertaker-Cena
Four-way match for women's title (Trish, Molly, Kim, Victoria?)
Benoit-Rhyno
Dudleyz-Resistance
Nash-Jericho

The PROBLEMS are, that kind of leaves off guys like Jericho, Booker, Benjamin, Haas, Christian, Hardy, Guerrero, Zach, FBI, Big Show, Sable, etc. Don't know how they'll be able to fit all of them in.
Perhaps another bar-room brawl will do the trick

My predict-a-card looks like:

HHH vs. Goldberg
Jericho/Orton vs. Nash/Michaels
Women's title match
Dudleyz vs. La Resistance
Booker T vs. Christian vs. Scott Steiner vs. Test
Lesnar vs. Angle
Mysterio vs. Kidman
Rhyno vs. Benoit
Taker vs. Cena II

Team Angle vs. ?
Guerrero vs. ?

And no love for O'Haire, Hardy, or Spanky.

For what its worth I'd imagine it'll be something along the lines of:

HHH vs Goldberg (Heavyweight Title)

Angle vs Lesnar (WWE Title)

Kane vs Shane w/ Special Ref. Steve Austin

La Resistance vs Dudleys (RAW Tag titles)

Cena vs Eddie (US Title)

HBK vs Orton

Booker T vs Christian (Intercontinental)

Rey vs Kidman (Cruiserweight)

Plus a womans match on Heat and some gimmicky match to bring in a lot of upper mid carders. Rhyno Benoit might also sneak in there if they manage to do a decent job of building the feud.

From my vantage-point, the card looks to be:

Triple H v. Goldberg
Kane v. Shane McMahon
Chris Jericho v. Kevin Nash
Shawn Michaels v. Randy Orton
Dudley Boyz v. La Resistance
Brock Lesnar v. Kurt Angle
Undertaker v. Big Show
Chris Benoit v. Rhyno v. Guerrero v. Cena
Rey Misterio v. Billy Kidman
And probably something involving Benjamin/Haas

And it looks as if poor Rob Van Dam, who was left off of WrestleMania, will be left off of SummerSlam as well. Shame. The more you get over, the more we shall PUNISH you!!!

...you think after these weeks of breaking up with Kane and then getting his ass kicked by him, that RVD is more over now than he was back around WM?

Most interesting thing about that statement is that RVD hasn't been as over as he was during the Invasion since the Invasion.

The Raw side looks pretty clear...
Triple H vs. Goldberg
HBK vs. Orton
Nash vs. Jericho
Kane vs. Shane
Molly vs. Trish?

Smackdown side doesn't look as clear, I'm going to go a different route than most...

Kurt vs. Cena
Lesnar vs. Big Show (if they don't want this match again, then make the Title match a fourway with all of the above)
Eddie vs. Benoit - come on, this can't be over yet, I think this ppv was just a warmup match for Summerslam.
I'd like to say Mysterio vs. Kidman but they need a tag match so I think maybe they go somethiing like Mysterio/Ultimo vs. Matt/Kidman after Kidman turns. And then do the singles match later on.

RVD doesn't make the card, but I can't really see putting him over anyone expect Nash, and even then Booker or Christian should be there first. Myabe they could do a Jericho vs. Booker vs. Christian vs. RVD match to break up all the one on one matches.

For some reason or another I think I'd like to see Austin/Shane vs. Kane/Vince. Why you might ask? Well why not is my response. Plus god only knows that Shane needs to put himself into jeopardy soon or else the world will forget he's a bump machine.

heres what it predicted so far

Shane McMahon vs Kane - WHY DO I WANT TO SEE THIS AT ONE OF THE BIGGEST PPVS OF THE YEAR!!!!!! McMahons = pieces of shit that think they are the superstars with pushed in chins

Benoit vs Rhyno - I donno what to say about this match, it could be a great bout but Benoit has been killed by the WWE which makes my heart sad.

Kidman vs Mysterio - this should be a great match with lots of cool shit

Jericho vs Nash? - it doesnt matter, the Kliq doesnt lose PPV matches Jericho needs to be traded to THE SMACKADOWNA badly, Cripple H is holding his ass down and there are no Heels on SMACKADOWNA worth a title show (except Cena)

Molly vs Trish - well this will most likely be a good womans match

Orton vs Michales - good stuff here as long as HHH doesnt show up

im too bored to put the rest up

Why not? Because we've already seen Austin vs. Vince 5 million times. We've already seen Vince vs. Shane 4 million times. Vince doesn't put on good matches. And you say Shane shouldn't put himself in danger? Well what about Austin? He's injured. What about Vince? He's less of a wrestler than Shane is. It's best if they leave it Kane vs. Shane.

Jeez, I never realized how many people would be left off of the card until I sat down to think about it ... here's my take ...

RAW
Triple H vs. Goldberg
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton
The Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance
Kane vs. Shane McMahon

Smackdown
Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle
Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman
Undertaker vs. John Cena (gimmick match)
Rhyno vs. Benoit

The joint PPVs are usually 4 matches per show ... so this leaves Jericho, Booker T, Christian, RVD, Eddie, WGTT, etc. without matches ... maybe the pre-PPV heat can feature a couple ...

The Shane comment was firmly rooted in Sarcasmville,USA, and as far as Austin goes, meh. I could care less if he got injured, personally.
I like Shane. I think Shane can put on some darn good matches. But as far as him being anywhere near a threat to Kane simply because he's mad about what happened to his mom is just crazy talk, much like what many others on the board have commented on. Unless he was to get completely squashed, that does sort of take away from the monster image of Kane and makes the real superstars he's beaten look even sillier for not being able to do what Shane-O-Mac could.
And in my defense, that match couldn't be any worse than Hogan and Brutus the Barber vs. Zeus and Macho. I am of a firm belief it doesn't get much worse than Zeus.

All the people saddened about having some quality performers not being on the PPV because of the split squad and time constraints... I've got "good news" for you, it seems you are all forgetting(I can't believe how you could) the finals of the Diva Search will take place during SummerSlam which means subtract one match and shorten another at least. Because I'm guessing it will be one long segment.

Hey, I don't know how things will shake out at the big show, but remember one thing:

Brock/Rock= Best Summerslam ever, last year.
Kane/Shane?

Rhyming matches make great PPVs.
