Look for Santino to accumulate a number of losses and be put in embarrassing backstage promos.

So was he breaking the law or not?

(obligatory "driving in Italy" joke here)

He was probably slightly over the limit when he got stopped (cheap date). An hour in the drunk tank gets him off the hook(*). No DUI, based on that

(*)Unless he was drinking and under some other kind of influence. No speculation, of course

FLEA

edit: don't know if this is always the rule, but I know in many states you can be charged with DUI even if your BAC is below the limit if you are showing impairment. If he was swerving or tried answering the officer in his Santino voice that might have been enough to get him run in.

true, but even a bad lawyer can get you out of that (maybe not the Santino part!)

I hope he was totally playing the Santino gimmick when answering the cop, just because that would make for the greatest dashboard camera video ever.

Does this mean Santino won't be on LOST next season?

How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person Im portraying. Youre confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard, and I said You are aware that I am not really a wizard? and Peter Jackson said I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show. So I said Okay and then I said to myself Mmm.. How do I do that? And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras

That's not the WWE official statement, it's just a feed of the news story from prowrestling.net. I mean, it does say it twice.

So he was arrested for being UNDER the limit and no one will bail him out for $500? I love the guy but he's like WWE's version of Rodney Dangerfield.

Heck, you would drink too if you just broke up with Maria. He'll never improve on that, game over man, game over.

He broke up with Maria? I didn't think there was ever even any "real" confirmation that he was dating Maria.

Yeah, it's a false relationship, but IMO, it doesn't matter. Anytime you're forced to "break up" with someone as beautiful as Maria, whether real or pretend, it's a really sad time indeed.
