Just had a look at the new Jakks figures for pre-order in April and one in the line-up is Nathan Jones. What the hell is going on? He's been gone since December. Has anyone heard anything about him re-signing?

I doubt we'll be seeing Jones back in the ring any time soon. He left for reasons similar to Lesnar's. He was fatigued and burnt out from the travel schedule and his heart just wasn't in it anymore. The big difference being, the WWE hadn't built up half the company around Jones, so his quitting, while unexpected, didn't really harm anyone. As for the action figures, I imagine they were probably already manufactured, and Jakks just wants to unload them.
Also, Jones still hasn't moved back home to Australia. He's still living in the US, which leads to me believe he has plans for himself in the US. He's apparently got a big scene in the up-coming movie Troy with Brad Pitt. Perhaps he's contemplating a big movie career a la The Rock. He's so big, though, I really can't see him as a leading man. He's around the 300 pound mark, and towers over most other actors. He probably won't get many roles other than the giant gladiator, silent mafia enforcer, evil super villian and stuff like that.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!
Jones has a great look to play any kind of muscle. You're right, he'll never be a leading man, but I think he'll have plenty of work looking tough and dying readily at the hands of the hero.
I still question how Austin could get sent to SD, unless he has changed that 'super secret visionary' clause in his contract that made him exempt from being drafted back in 2002. Unless of course, they forgot about it, but that has never happened before.
Why is TVLand stealing my ideas from DEAN's Workrate Report's? They had to be stealing, as I thought I had the only demented mind that could put Bea Arthur and Abe Vigoda in a sex scene.
Theoretically, they could say the clause - and his previous contract - became null and void when Austin walked out in May 2002, or when Austin was "fired" after WM19, or when Austin's career "ended" at Survivor Series.
When he came back as the "sheriff", he signed a new contract as such, free of the loophole clauses.
