|  #1 Posted on 24.12.02 1944.31 | ...than the Philadelphia Eagles? Now before any Philly fans call for my head, I myself am an Eagles fan, and have been my entire life, but for the life of me, I can't figure this one out.
This team has worked hard all year, won despite losing players at key positions, slowly weeded out any possible primadonnas, has a respectful coach, and yet get no respect from the media or anyone else. Every year they're made out to be an 0-16 team, regardless of how much they proven everyone wrong.
Are we in a time where nobody can get behind a team unless they have a big mouthed clown who disappears in critical situations (Sapp, Shockey), or a player that receives constant blowjobs from the media (Favre, Vick, Sapp again)?
I know by supporting the Eagles, I get labelled as an evil fan who boos santa and throws battery filled snowballs at players, but why does everyone seem to think that's EVERY Eagles fan is that bad. And also, if a classy team can win without gloryhounds, why is that such a bad thing?

And for the record Donovan Mcnabb gets plenty of stroking from SI and ESPN. Hes just injured right now. And hell Im already sick of hearing about AJ Feeley.
And plus nobody hates the Eagles... just that god-awful stadium.

That's the silliest post I have seen in quite a while. Every media outlet is praising the Eagles as the best team in the NFC. They are praising the terrific defense and the way the offense has continued without their superstar McNab. Geez, some people are never satisfied, are they?

It might not be the number one story every week, but it's always talk about at some point. Now some other people might get undeservedly overhyped (Vick) but I don't think the Eagles are too underhyped, as a matter of fact, i've been quite surprised by the attention they have received.
And as an Eagles fan myself, I'm not hated very much, of course down here in Alabama when you say you like the Eagles they ask "what college do they play for?"
