Phillies' announcer (and voice of NFL films) will be inducted into the Broadcaster's Wing of the Hall of Fame.

I am incredibly happy about that. For me, Harry Kalas IS baseball. Just hearing his voice again in spring training gets me psyched for baseball season.

That's fantastic. I think my favorite Harry Kalas call was when Mike Schmitt hit his 500th home run.

It unfortunately means that Bob Uecker must wait yet again. Given all the bitching about Uecker not being in the Hall in Milwaukee, yet a deserving announcer like Kalas making it, I wish I knew who else is out there that ought to be in, but isn't.

Congrats to Harry.

I don't know whether it would be more appropriate for Harry to introduce Mic-key Mor-an-din-i or Mar-i-a-no Dun-can to start his speech. I am sure we'll be hearing quite a bit about Rich Ashburn.

Okay, the Rockies used to have Dave Armstrong for TV broadcasts. Everytime a Rockies player would hit a homerun, he'd say "Wow!" in a nasally voice. He knew he was doing it, and thought it was his trademark catchphrase.
