To all of us Canadians who're here on The-W...have a happy and safe Canada Day.

Speaking of which...what is everyone doing to celebrate Canada's 142nd birthday? I'll be checking out some local festivities, then FIREWORKS!

Happy Canada Day!

Man, how late do the fireworks have to be up there? We're just getting dark around 9:45pm or so.

Last year our fireworks were around 10:30.

For the second straight year, I'm hosting a kiddie pool party with a bunch of friends.

According to the local newspaper, around 11pm. I'll be there with bells on. :)

My old place used to be a prime location for Regina's fireworks (across the street from the urban park where the fireworks were set off from); now we'd have to move into or across from a local parking lot. I'm thinking we'll be too lazy to bother.

The fireworks in downtown Calgary are starting around 10:45, that is if the rain holds off. The Stampeders are kicking off the CFL season right about now against the Alouettes.

Had a great day - community pancake breakfast, did a photo shoot of some friends, and got a round of golf in (although I played like garbage). Stampede starts Friday, so the fun continues.

Hope everyone had a great mid-week holiday!

Oooo... have a happy Stampede too. Eat lots of fried foods and lean on things for me. We just had the Dairy Parade and Rodeo. We didn't go to the rodeo because you weren't here. One of these years you'll have to come visit so we can go watch very small children ride sheep. There's trick horses and lots of girls with big hair and sparkly princess chaps too... but I've always wanted to see the little kids on sheep.

Via Buffyworld: Here (almosthuman.net) is a small article (just a bunch of captioned pictures, really) detailing how they made The Beast from last season. The on set pictures are nice. Here (buffyworld.com)
