Boy, they really went the extra mile to product-place the iPod and still made it funny at the same time. Not to mention the product placement for Vance Refrigeration. And it ain't a party without the lampshade.
Plus, Dwight: Office Slut~~

I've sadly enough done the sentimental secret santa thing with a coworker I had a crush on before (we wound up dating for about a year). The Pam/Jim thing has the potential to get really frustrating, and Roy is such a toolbox (the character, not me) that it's starting to become unbelievable that Pam stays with him. Though I think Jim is just about the perfect loser in love with a coworker.
I'm glad NBC stuck with the show and I decided to give it a second chance.
You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.
"Because personally if I was being choked by Ric Flair, my personal reaction would be well, "Glrrrrkkk, can't breathe" but after that... "Man, I'm being choked out by Ric Flair, this is so cool." and then some more "Gllllrrrrk, can't breathe."" (Llakor)
I still don't get the significance of the teapot's contents, as this was the first time I'd seen nearly an entire episode, but the party had me in hysterics. Especially Kevin and his present to himself.

The significance is this: Jim's in love with Pam. The card probably contained some manner of confession to that.
And the episode was amazing, like this entire season has been. I LOVE how the show's evolved since the pilot.

I'm enjoying this show more every time I see it. It'll be the best sitcom on TV officially in a few weeks. But it's still a precipitous drop from 'Arrested' IMHO.
The product placement is a little much though. I mean, my employment rests entirely in finding this stuff, but to have this episode coincide with "Oh if you have a video iPod you can download and relive the awesome magic of NBC shows!" was a little cutesy. See also: A couple of weeks ago when Michael wanted to hold the meeting at the **CHILI'S** because **CHILI'S** is the new golf course. How many times can I tell Tim Meadows how much I love **CHILI'S**?
Also, it reminded me that I need a new oven mitt. Or I at least need to take the old ones to the laundromat with me tomorrow. Ew.
My sister-in-law and I caught the last half of the show and got a real good laugh out of it. Especially Michael's reaction as everyone was leaving the office. *click* "Okay, let's hit the road!"
Poor, poor Phyllis. Michael crapped all over her oven mitt. This poor woman takes all the abuse from him. I felt bad for laughing at Angela's tears--no I didn't -that was funny. Michael seems to get more clueless each time. It's pretty cartoonish but real funny. Who else would change Secret Santa into a Yankee Swap midstream so they could get a better gift? I loved seeing people open personalized gifts that weren't even for them.
Maybe the move to Thursdays will help viewers figure out what a funny show this is. (Hey, it helped Seinfeld)
As a huge fan of the British version, I had my doubts going into this version. When I saw the pilot, it was pretty much the same as the british pilot, and I thought, what's the point? But I tried it again this year because I liked Earl and now I like The Office better than Earl (which is saying a lot). It has been a long time since there has been a comedic ensemble this great on television, where every character is just perfect. No weak links at all. Plus, I went back and rented the 1st season and really enjoyed it. Thank God they are moving to Thursdays to save that night for NBC.
I only recently got TiVo, so I've only recently been able to catch more of "The Office" than what you can see during commercial breaks. So hopefully one of you can fill me in:
Why did that blonde woman with her hair pulled back start smashing ornaments and screaming outside in the snow? Is she in love with the paintball-nut elf-eared guy or something? Because I notice she lost it right after he was kissed near the fridge.

At the risk of stealing one of Zed's phrases, Let Us Take You Back To Last Week Episode:
At the end of that episode where Jim throws a party, and if only because of the fact that we recognize them by their style of socks, Dwight and Angela are caught by the documentary camera off by themselves with their socks interlocked. So this would now presumably be the 2nd woman who works at Dunder-Mifflin whom Dwight has intentionally or unintentionally lip-locked in the last two episodes. I say presumably because all the camera saw last episode were the socks.
And because it was through a window, all Angela saw was the kiss with no actual context or who started what. Hence the bulb-smashing.

I also thought Angela was frustrated because nobody consulted her because she was the "party planning comittee". She's a bit nutty and on edge to begin with. Did you see her face when Michael proposed the Yankee Swap and then when he brought the Vodka to the party? She was pissed.

Don't forget when Jim tried to trick Dwight into thinking it was Friday by talking about last night's Apprentice.
Personally, I don't mind the advertisements. I don't think this week's episode would have been as amusing using something fictitious like a Video ePod or something. If a show with less than stellar ratings can keep its ad revenue up by integrating some real life products into the plot, by and large, I won't mind it.
Angela may very well be my new favorite character. Her breakdown during her interview was priceless.
I like how upon recieving the oven mitt, Michael's first reaction is to run off and vent to the cameras.
What did Dwight say after Kelly kissed him? Did I miss when Dwight became so popular amongst the ladies? I thought back during the fire drill episode they were all talking about how Jim was the cutest.
Yesterday it was announced we're doing Yankee Swap this year in our office. I'm debating throwing in an oven mitt or an old flannel.

Every time they plug Chili's, they are (not so) subtly saying "Chili's is retarded"
Helen Keller was largely useless, and look how we remember her.
I have to say that I am now a big fan of this show after resisting it for so long. Everyone on this show plays their part perfectly. And if the guy who plays Dwight doe snot get nominated AND WIN the award for Best Supporting Actor, then it will be a travesty.
We,, that's just drunk talk! Sweet, beautiful drunk talk....
Just started watching this show. I've finished Season One and have seen the first 2 episodes of Season 2. I Love it and it is a definite "must get" on DVD.
