I have taken this entire week off for my favourite kind of "vacation" - no flying, no driving, I go nowhere, sleep in as long as I want, and drink beer occasionally.
Actually, I've been tooling around town visiting stores I never seem to hit, walking amongst the people in Uptown (too many hippies asking me for money), and tonight Kim got us VIP tix for this thing:
As is the case every year, P and I have the same birthday - he's 49 - I don't expect to see him tonight but stranger things have happened. The Truth are really great in any setting, though!
That picture is only three years old (The W). My last haircut was July 4th, and Kim is asking me if I want to make that a yearly thing or not. I'll probably let it go for now, although I DID do some pretty mustache/beard sculpting yesterday. I actually have a lovely photojournalist piece where you can see my current hideous state, but preparing it was one of those things that was on my "to do during vacation" list. WATCH THIS SPACE
We haven't done karaoke in FOREVER, mostly due to a desire to be in bed before 2:30 am along with high quality, first-run television at home - also we save tons of money drinking beer at home instead of in a bar. Saving money has become really important lately for some reason!
Last night I had most of a ribeye and if my bowels ever start working again I'll have the rest of it later today. (Apples for breakfast for sure!)
I also have a mountain of presents and I really should update my DVDAF profile sooner or later.
