"Prince's performance at Coachella has been getting buzz for weeks. Lil' dude must have killed it. Of course, he kinda had to after a payday rumored to be nearly $5 million, which isn't bad for a couple of hours work.
One of the highlights was apparently a cover of Radiohead's "Creep," fan footage of which was readily available on YouTube until Prince had it blocked. It was a typically strange move for Prince seeing as how YouTube clips are generally only blocked by the people who own the material's copyright. Even Radiohead wanted to see the footage, with Thom Yorke cheerfully imploring Prince in a Billboard article to remove the ban.
It is a really good version, with a couple of classic Prince guitar solos, and you can find it here: http://phauxshow.com/uncategorized/prince-covers-radioheads-creep-at-coachella/
It isn't the best camera work, but the audio is decent."
It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them. P. G. Wodehouse (1881 - 1975), The Man Upstairs (1914) |
