I have to say that Bend It Like Beckham really, really sucked. I know it must be quaint for the US to watch such quintessential Englishness on film but it's trite pile of crap that pretty much all of my Asian friends found deeply offensive and childish. As did I.

Last year there was a bunch of mid year memorable movies (Panic Room, Insomnia, Fraility). Nothing really stands out this year for me, and I've noticed I haven't been going to as many movies this year as last year.

I'll go with Willard, just for creepiness factor alone LoL

Finally, some GOOD TV NEWS! Astro Boy is coming to Kids WB which just, in this humble geek's opinion, RULES. All the pictures I've seen of this new series look good, as in really good.
